Cart preaching question
by asp59 ini just wonder how the elders see the cart witnessing they always want to show co when he comes to visit how congregation covers the territory.
but there must be a great problem with that now as pioneers prefer sitting drinking coffee beside a cart.

Now this is different..
by zeb inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xxbyvdlgvm&feature=youtu.be.
and may be of help to those who have faded, left, been dfd, whatever and are feeling lost and worthless.. and the wt is world champion at making people feel worthless.. .
not everyone can become president or prime minister but you can become the most cheery barista, shop assistant, metal worker and have the personal reward of knowing you have done or are doing the best you can and that is pretty damn good after all.. my love to you all.. live long and prosper in wisdom and peace..

When did the policy to report to the legal “desk” / “department” was introduced?
by Paul Bonanno inas you are all aware the elders are instructed that when they come across a case of “child sexual abuse” they have to call the “legal desk” / “legal department”.
prior to 1993 this was the policy that as an elder we had.
do you know when this policy was introduced or started and what was the history behind it?.

When 2 want to visit.
by stillin insome of the local witnesses have been by, periodically, to check on us and say that they miss us.
i consider that a decent thing to do since they figure that we're going to die any day now from the loving god.
some have been elders, who have to always stay distant so that they don't somehow get contaminated by being too nice to us.

'Serving where the need is greater' - who does it benefit?
by eyeslice2 inwe have recently been in asia on vacation, travelling to a number of countries in this part of the world.
whilst in thailand, my wife, totally pimo, wanted to go to the english speaking convention in bangkok.
although i haven't been active for a very long time, i went along with her.. the first thing that slightly surprised me was the attendance, well over 900. i hadn't expected that many but they were from all over the country, which is a pretty big place.

Treatment of families
by ZindagiNaMilegiDobaara inhas anyone experienced that family members of the general flock and those of the elders were treated differently, unfairly, or just put on a pedestal just coz they were elders kids?
where i grew up ,elders kids used to steal from their dads wallet right in fron t of us , and say to us that " if you say anything no one will believe you, i am the elders son".this went on from bad to worse , he grew up a constant liar, wore earrings to college and questionable association and clothes, involved in all things worldly.
.i know this coz he had a worldy friend who lived next door to me.this neighbors house was his go to for a double standard life style.
