ShotWad,
Lot and His Daughters 30 Lot and his two daughters left Zoar and settled in the mountains, for he was afraid to stay in Zoar. He and his two daughters lived in a cave. 31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no [righteous] man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father."
Those two women were daughters of a "righteous" man. They were raised by a "righteous" man; they were taught by a "righteous" man; and they lived from day to day with a "righteous" man. Because of their background they most likely leaned towards being righteous themselves. Would they then want to marry just any man who might be within reach? Of course not! Being Lot's offspring it's only reasonable that they would restrict themselves to marrying a person who worshipped Jehovah, "only in the Lord" as it were. When they said, "there is no man around here to lie with us," they meant just THAT ... that there actually wasn't a man around who would qualify as a husband for either one of them, simply because there were none around that worshipped Jehovah.
Nice try anyways, ShotWad.
