The definition of "exonerated" is - freed from any question of guilt. Charges are often "dropped" because a deal was worked out, so there may be more behind the story then we first thought. Just because charges are dropped does not mean that a person is not guilty.
As for the remaining ones left on earth, wasn't there a time when JWs believed that there would have to be "remaining ones left on earth" so that the ones who made it thru had someone who was being directed by god and of course, it could only be the anointed ones. I thought it also tied in with the fact that there was some what of a small up roar in the 80's/90's over the number of partakers and how the numbers were not dropping as quickly as they should have been based on prior numbers??? Am I completed confused or does someone remember this theory as well.

I guess a four page insert is a lot cheaper than reprinting a whole book for 6 million people. I swear, if I were still in, this would be a huge "red flag" to me. That many changes in one book? If this many changes in just one book constitute the "truth" now, then what the hell were we studying back in the late 80's?

you are not confused...that was the thinking
then they changed it because they had the nephenim (non-annointed given ones) class who are being trained to take over...the idea was based on the fact that the wedding takes place in heaven before the great trib starts and you really cant have a wedding with half a bride...and something to do with getting a pebble..entry fee according to revelation
present thinking is there might be annointed survivors..or there might not be..just dont know..have to wait and see...no change there then

Just a couple of years ago at the DC they gave 6 reasons why the end must be near. I forget them all now, but I am sure the last one was the point that the anointed are getting older and some of them must be left when the Great Tribulation starts.
