Biblical Prohecies That Came True?

Recently there have been several claims made regarding prophecies that came true. I've not personally seen a prophecy that I would consider as having come true. I would consider the following as the requirements to say something is a prophecy and evaluate whether or not it came true:

1. Specific details for what will happen

2. Specific dates for what will happen

3. Special knowledge required (i.e., it doesn't take special knowledge to predict something will happen when it has happened before and the circumstances are similiar or to simply describe what is happening and say "more of this will happen")

4. The event happened EXACTLY as predicted

The other side of that, also, are failed prophecies. If someone made a failed prophecy, should we look at other prophecies they made as guesses or special knowledge from God?

Do you think any prophecies specifically and accurately came true? If so, why?

I prophesize that Armageddon will NOT occur in October of 2014.

ALl the prophecies came true and have been fulfilled from the old test and the new test. The destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in 70 ad a historical fact clarified by secular sources is what all the prophecies were about not the end of the world.

GMJALT, specifically, outside of the temple conversation which I'll address momentarily, which prophecies came true?

In the case of the temple, it had been destroyed by invasion before, Jerusalem was currently occupied and there was a general spirit of belief in apocalypse, judgement and coming destruction for both Jew and Gentile. What specific knowledge was required to predict an event that had happened before under similiar circumstances? Why wasn't Jesus specific on who would do it and exactly when?

You might want to add another criterion for what you consider to be a valid prophecy. This one seems obvious, but it disqualifies a huge number of bible prophecies:

The prophecy must be verifiably recorded prior to the event that it predicts.

The People of Jerusalem were expecting The Messiah but did not like the one they got. They were well aware of what was going to take place from the OT prophets. Also the preaching of the Gospel before the destruction took place. The people were so far removed from God due to turning to other Gods that show Jerusalem became the great Harlot. Even so The God of Israel wanted them all saved. The Gospel was originally for Israel. But the majority rejected it. SO extended to the gentiles, to come ot the feast. Messiah waited for them to join him but no one came so he invited anyone who wanted to come eat at his table. Meaning the blessings for all mankind. Eternal life, through Christ. The Mystery of the ages was not made known until the 1st century and that mystery was and is Christ in Us , the jews hated that idea due to becoming spiritual fornicators. SO the plan ot destroy the old covenant arangements , all the physical aspects of worship to be replaced with an incorruptable spiritual arrangment for all eternity. Whoever beleived Messiah got the gift of eternal life and still do, the KIngdom is within, unseen no part of this world. So Jesus was specific to those who would listen. He told them exactly what would happen, that he would return for those faithful ones to rule with him as kings and priests in the 1st centruy. SO we can now share in the divine nature of God , he dwells within all and the unveiling /revealing or realization of him takes place in every generation since then. Still we have the free choice to reject or accept him within us.He makes himself known to all who seek him in this life or at death. Those who he has manifest hismelf to in the earth,bear witness to him living, the written testimony is just that a testimony of him but does not give life its just words, the living testimony in which every person can give is what will give life, the manifestation of Christ within each and every person. If we seek him, not out of curiosity but out of love, or a longing many people have inside he lets himself be found .

I thought about that, but it automatically disqualifies every prophecy I can think of. I didn't want to start out with a big giant "No".
