More changes to become to become a more mainstream religion! What about those who were counseled that the mental health professionals were evil and should be avoided? Conflicted89 is not alone! I know many, many JW's who were told the same thing. 'Pray more. More service. you are unspiritual because you are depressed.' What about those poor souls who killed themselves, because of the 'old light' thinking they were forgotten by God because they were depressed and needed medication? Yep, the old bait and switch.

Mother Teresa didn't care what others thought.....and I don't belive she had ' antisocial behavior' or was a 'sociopath and psychopath'. She makes a lot of sense, in my book...
Do it Anyway
"People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.
Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.
Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten.
Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
-this version is credited to Mother Teresa"

The Asia real estate market is in the crapper. What happened to those poor people in the article was what happened to so many people worldwide.....They timed the real estate market wrong....they had poor financial planning and they chose buy a house they couldn't afford and borrowed the downpayment. This does not equate to lack of spirituality, it is the result of the economy and a lack of FINANCIAL EDUCATION. They needed more education to make real estate work for them...
Maybe if they took a class or two at the local college (heavens no!) instead of knocking on doors, they would be alright today! Or, if they had the genious real estate/financial planners of the WT, they would do better. But of coure the WT has to spin it all and make it look like they are unspiritual. What a bunch of crap.
They teach: "Preach....don't get an education". So, JW's make poor decisions because of the lack of education...then when things go wrong, instead of blaming the lack of knowledge, they say that it was because they are bad unspiritual people....so stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrr

Why do you come here?
by love2Bworldly ini come here to learn, but i also come here because it feels like a private club and i'm privy to be a member of the "in" crowd.
it's a great place to socialize.
does anyone else feel that they are a member of a special "club" when they come here, that only some people in this world will understand the jw world?.

For confirmation bias, I suppose. It's comforting to know I'm not alone. I've also got a variety of advise ont his site to help navigate unchartered territories. Additionally, I am hoping to help others. We are all in this together.

Thank you for sharing this video. It was very telling.
From the aerial shot at the end of the video, you can tell that this was professionally done. As a matter of fact, from the details of the event IE cutesy food carts, uniforms for the servers, music, etc. it can be deduced that a professional meeting and event planner was a part of this event.
Was that JW.org buttons on the dancers?
Now, why would JW.org hire a professional event planner and a professional cinema photographer? The only answer is that they are doing a huge brand marketing campaign, with the new and improved JW’s.
What was creepy about the whole thing was that they looked so NORMAL and happy….a group to be a part of.
Additionally, what happened to the scripture about being “No part of the world?” That event looked strikingly similar to any promotional clip from any “worldy’ event or organization.
And what’s with the choir in matching outfits on stage?????
That screams “Christendom!”
This marketing campaign is evil, when you think of the reason behind the branding. They are slapping a lipstick on a pig and calling it pretty.
It seems that they are making a cult look normal – I suppose if they hired professionals to do a marketing campaign in Jonestown, they would have had a flood of converts before the massacure.
God, this is scary!

PART TWO of AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE BY A PRACTICING JEHOVAH'S WITNESS
by Sparks inwhile you are sitting there reading this, there are literally hundreds of thousands of young males and females all over the world [ mostly in america / canada and england] sitting in their grotty little smelly bedrooms or flats, designing computer viruses that they will up-load onto web-sites to cause anonymous innocent peoples computers to malfunction.
these creeps spend literally weeks, months or even years hoping to make a computer viruses that will get into peoples computer bios to completely destroy their computers.
they never see the peoples anger, frustration and distress.... the damage can cost each person about 1,000 [ $1,660.74 ] or more to replace a basic new laptop or tower.

I believe that if we continue to cut & paste the WT could have legal grounds to make trouble for Simon and the others w non jw websites. They have deep pockets and nasty lawyers. They are preparing for war.
