JW.ORG advertising on game/app review program.
by WHATSGOINGON ini don't know if any of you have seen the video posted by mike and kim regarding jw.org advertising on a thailand computer game review television show.
its interesting - check it out.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57nigmnim18.
the show is called game show social - i looked at a few of the videos and jw.org is on a lot of them.. at first i thought that it was a review of a jw.org app but when you look at other videos jw.org is on a lot of them as a sponsor as well as dell lg and others.. wgo..

Sorry if I missed something. Did anyone actually got this from the few english words that came out on the video? I mean, it it not hard to think that the only reason such logo would display there is for sponsorship purposes (WT does not make games, yet) but I think a translation of what they are saying is due here. It would add to the context. -

Is the love of money that is the root of all evil, not money itself. -

QUESTIONING THE OBVIOUS or deconstructing Jehovah's Witnesses
by TerryWalstrom inwhat is the most obvious thing you can think of about jehovah's witnesses from the standpoint of worldwide recognition?.
wouldn't it be 2 primary things: the name jehovah and secondly, the public testimony or witnessing?.
let's begin deconstructing those two things.. first, why would christians refer to themselves by any other name than christian?.

Well, Jesus did clarify how to identify "Christians". The name sure is generic and hardly makes a case for any single organization to be identified as the true organization. But yet again, I personally don't think that such a thing was in the mind of God or Jesus. The bible clearly states that you would recognize this men (not organization) by their fruit and by their love among one another. Never, I believe, does the bible mentions that they should behave and act as if they were their own sovereign country with legal systems and all. Yet, this is what the WTS is attempting to do and more so this days. Just review the new book (God's Kingdom rules) and you will see that. They lined up closer to the Jews of old Israel than they do to the first century Christians.
Just wish I had more time to write. Not saying my view is better or is the only one right. Just like Terry here, I am trying to put my thoughts together for someone to review.

Let it begin....
by snare&racket inabout time..... "teachers, councillors and social workers in england and wales who fail to protect children could face up to five years in jail under new proposals.. the new measures, being unveiled by the prime minister, would see the crime of "wilful neglect" extended to cover children's social care and education.. there would also be unlimited fines for individuals and organisations shown to have let children down.".

when they so cleverly predicted to us all that the world would turn against them, something that has not happened despite over a 100 years of taunting power and opposing religious figures, now it is likely to begin, they failed to mention that it would be due to rampant paedophilia in 'gods earthly organisation'.what a wholesome enviroment to grow up in and raise a child.. we have heard it said many times here that the jw's won't last as they are so entrenched in trends, so opposite to modern human progress, culture and society, they stand out as more extremist and inhumane by the year, mocked regularly in the media now.

@Vidiot.
Not a far fetched idea and not something they have not done before. It would be a great way for the FDS to run and hide its masters "belongings", if you know what I mean.

What would you do with an abuse settlement?
by StarTrekAngel inwhat would you do if you were conti or lopez and had a large award?
sure, the options and the tastes are many but consider this.... i don't know if this has already been covered or mentioned but i think there would be no better investment of that money than to put into a non-profit.
on dedicated to seek out and bring forward more cases.

Spot on Ding. I saw that once I decided that it was time for me to become a true JW. I actually read the bible and realized that. -

What are the legal and financial ramifications to apologize for abuse issues. Anyone know.
by joe134cd ini'm hearing all these comments about how wt dosnt care, is arrogant, unapologetic and is covering it up.
hey and i agree with these comments to a point but as i'm no lawyer and don't know american law what would be the implications if wt did came out and admitted it's errors.
i'm talking front cover wt here.

In other industries this is comparable to the cost of a major recall. Think for example, large automakers or aircraft manufacturers. You weight the cost of the options. What is more expensive, to recall and replace a certain part of an airplane, or the payout to lawsuits after an accident. Each case is analyzed carefully based on the probability of each one happening. The cheapest one wins. -

I second that motion. However, its all financial. I believe they have already weighed both options and so far, hiding and denying is paying off but not for long. Once the tables turn, then we may get an apology. But keep in mind such apology will have no foundation. It will be fake, driven by the fact that the balance sheet calls for it, not the bible.
