Defeinitely this does nothing to help the cause, however, I would point out to the brother (on that video) who wanted to come up and fight with this guy and then his wife tries to stop him and he very disrespectuflly pushes her away. If anything, that should be highlighted.

TROUBLED MAN EXPOSES ELDERS CULT MENTALITY IN DOVER UK
by raymond frantz introubled man exposes elders cult mentality in dover uk.
(watch the video till the end).
breaking in to kingdom halls and disturbing peaceful meetings is hardly the way to go when it comes to positive activism .nevertheless these incidents seem to become more frequent recently as the watchtower vehemently refuses to engage in a meaningful way with the problems of policy and doctrine that seem to trouble many jehovahs witnesses .that, coupled with the ever extending ex- jehovahs witnesses community and their harsh disfellowshiping practises is creating a new era where disturbances of that short will only become more frequent.

I think others have explained it for me. But some people will never understand. I hope this never happens to you. May the WTBTS burn on the ashes of its own policies.

does the wt always carefully phrase sentences so as to never take blame?
by sowhatnow inim recalling a time when i sat and circled words in a watchtower article, indicating strongly the fact that it is in fact the writters opinion.. however just the suggestion in the sentence these words are ignored.. for example.
it is our understanding.
we believe this to be the case.

"Our members are free to leave if they so desire" (omitting that they will not be able to take their families with them)
The funny thing is that they continue to claim Jehovah is not a legalistic or dogmatic God. That people are free to choose to worship him or not. Consider the following paragraph where they use "weasel words" to justify their mistakes. Is there a bigger exampe of blame put on the holy spirit?. WT 2002 Dec 1, page 17, par 17-18. Bolds mine
The Ethiopian eunuch was a convert to Judaism. He was a sincere believer in God, and he studied the Scriptures. Traveling in his chariot, he was reading the text of Isaiah when Philip ran alongside him and asked: “Do you actually know what you are reading?” How did the eunuch answer? “‘Really, how could I ever do so, unless someone guided me?’ And he entreated Philip to get on and sit down with him.” Then Philip, directed by holy spirit, helped the eunuch to understand the prophecy of Isaiah. (Acts 8:27-35) What does this illustrate? That our private reading of the Bible is not enough. Jehovah, by his spirit, uses the faithful and discreet slave class to help us to understand his Word at the right time. How is this done?—Matthew 24:45-47; Luke 12:42.
18 Although the slave class is defined as “faithful and discreet,” Jesus did not say that it would be infallible. This group of faithful anointed brothers still consists of imperfect Christians. Even with the best of intentions, they can be mistaken, as such men sometimes were in the first century. (Acts 10:9-15; Galatians 2:8, 11-14) However, their motive is pure, and Jehovah is using them to supply us with Bible study aids to build up our faith in God’s Word and promises. The basic provision for personal study that the slave has given us is the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. It is now available, in whole or in part, in 42 languages, and 114 million copies in several editions have been printed. How can we use it effectively in our personal study?—2 Timothy 3:14-17.

Stop blaming the parents. By doing so you are becoming part of the problem rather than part of the solution. Those parents have been brainwashed into thinking different than you and I think. Me and my wife agree that in a case like this we would go straight to the police, but I know a whole lot of people, sincere, caring parents, who are convinced that the best course of action is to go to the elders, because the bible says so.. They can't explain where, but they know dead sure the bible says so.

What's next, Food Banks?
by Quarterback injust thinking, and speculating here.
who would have even immagined a tv channel as a change.
what could top that?.

Food band concept is simple. Publishers donate non perishables canned food, WT tower gives it out in exchange for a future donation. Unlikely to make them a fortune but it may earn enough members. The problem with that idea is that is more likely to attract people looking for food than it is to attract new members.
I live in one of the poorest areas of the US. Average household income is about 12k a year. Many religions have come in here and offered people (specially single mothers and undocumented inmigrants) free food, homes and loans. The math is simple. Someone can work really hard to earn credit worthiness and pay a bank 14 to 18% interest on a short term loan or loose their assets or, a religion can come and offer the loan to you for free (in some cases no need to repay) and then God guilt you into giving 10% of your income for the rest of your life. What pays better?
What? did you really think that WTBTS had invented something new with this new donation arrangement?
We had several pioneers in our congo tell us the story of new interested people, who wanted to start a study. After several weeks of earning the trust of the pioneer, they asked if the church offered loans to people. When the pioneer said no, the person asked to discontinue the study. True story.

Watchtower Oct 15 2014. Legal contracts?
by StarTrekAngel infor anyone who may have looked at, or attended the wt study for this week.
the first two articles of the magazine in subject use, in my opinion, the word "legal contract" too often.
anyone noticed this?
-
StarTrekAngel
Thanks everyone for their input. I was just especulating as to what this may lead to. In many years of attending and studying, I had never heard the term so repeated in magazinez. The bible, yes, but I always thought it was a metaphor.
Anyone knows where to find the mention of legal contract in regards to baptism?
