i know there are many posts discussing the may money requesting televangalism...er... broadcast i mean!
but i wanted to start one where anyone can put what they have heard any non-exjw, non-apostate witnesses say good or bad about the broadcast.
i don't see how it can't rattle followers... but then again i might be surprised how they can twist things (2+2=5).
My elder brother in law, went to the LDC meeting, some months back. One of the things he heard was about how all the work at Warwick, was going to be of the very best quality! No corners would be cut! And that if you could not perform to those high standards, don't come!
What Topped that off was the statement, After all, don't Christ brothers deserve the Very Best, during their last days on earth?????
Seems to my, Christ did not even have a place to call home, nor to lay his head!
i have a customer who's son is a jehovah's witness.
he was disfellowshipped over a year ago.
this is the second time he's been disfellowshipped.

last night at his meeting, they read a letter from their co. he talked about the earthquake.
he said that if some were moved to maybe take some vacation time, and go do volunteer work in napal.
so, as well reported, the latest jw broadcasting show is all about giving money.
as far as the wt society goes they have been pretty candid about there not being enough funds to meet the expenditure.
there are plenty of views on if this is really the case or not but underlying this is why are they spending so much money?.
My brother in laws KH, was closed by the co during his last visit. Old building, in very sad shape, and in a run down trashy area. They were told that they mist likely get a new KH, in a good safe location. Well Tuesday night, they found out, they will be getting a mild remodel. Fixing a mold problem, and refresh of the inside, nothing more. The parking lot is gravel and will stay that way!
As little will be spent as possible!

As it turned out, all the money was pledged, with some very wealthy diner making the big pledged that put it over the top. OR lived many more years! But he never got all of the big pledged, because of some falling out between them!

if you were/are in the sydenham (melbourne/victoria) congo you may be very familiar with this a few years back.
a prominent elder who likes the sound of his own voice (hint, his initials are william saad) yes of quite a well connected family, was on a judicial committee who was disfellowshiping one of his own male relatives for repeated marijuana usage.. this story by the way shows how corrupt the whole system is.
as williams family (elders and c/o) had covered up the previous few sorrid outcomes of his drug usage, they couldn't contain the last public viewing of his drug dependency, witnessed by many witnesses ironically... so they held a jc to disfellowship him.
I have known of so many parties arranged because a family member was going to be df'ed next week!
One of my favorites was, a young 20's something, was appointed as an elder, his family had a big part for his promotion, two weeks later it come out he was going to be a dad, to a single sister in the cong, and his wife knew all about the 2 year long affair, and she was in on it as well. Anyway, his family and her's, had a going away party, for them. two years later he was reinstated, along with his wife. 3 years down the road he was reappointed as an MS, 2 more years, appointed as a n elder. 3 years later the cong PO. Then about 7 years down the road, the whole body of elders was removed in that cong, for covering up more of this guys doing's. By the way, his dad and uncle were both elders in the same cong!
