  i will offer a couple of reasons hopefully many people can contribute more.

  their are probably umpteen ( for want of a better word ) reasons why this is so .. lets be bloody honest about this , sex is the be all and end all of society , and has been since adam gazed upon eve.

  Most of them are scared to. If it might bring reproche on the name, they always run to the elders first, and they in turn reinforce that fear, and warm them of what happens if they tell or even talk about it to anyone!

  i remember many years ago we would talk about those who leave the org.

  something bad will happen to them.

  because god was mad at them for turning away from the wt.

  i can't imagine for one second that the wbt$ supply the apathy trollies they'll make the r&f pay for them.

  or does the wbt$ supply the apathy trolley and charge over the odds for them?.

  They can be orderd in pairs, for about $45 each US. Publishers can ask the elders if they can order on! Then there is a site where updated signage can be ordered!

  i started perusing it this weekend and wish i had found it 10 years ago when i was on my way out.

  anyways, long story short, was df'd for you guessed it...fornication or "loose conduct" even though i had been a pioneer with an elder father, grandfather and uncle and no previous issues.

  Hey Eyefall, I never lived in Bama land, but did live in all three states around Bama, and have friends scattered around there, most being in the north west part if the state. I am still in, but just until i can figure out what to do, to get totally out!

  Has anyone a copy of the recent BOE about contributions to disaster fund?

  there was a boe recently (in last few weeks) about everyone in congregation contributing so much towards repairing kingdom hall's in emergencies, vandalism or disasters etc.

  does anyone have a copy - i couldn't find it on here.. i want to do a video on this because they say they don't solicit funds but it was announced from the platform????

  they might not be passing a collection plate around, but they're just doing it in a different way.. .

  a poster on another thread reminded me of when there was a 15 min.

  break between the talk and the wt study on sundays.

  the break was supposed to be to allow jw's time to drive their bible studys home from the talk.

  My dad always parked at the end of the street, so he could go smoke during the break.

  Anyone remember when the written review, was taken up and graded? The first congregation i remember, they toom them up and passed them out on opposite sides if the hall for grading. We also had a blackboard, with publishers names on it, with the garde posted, along with our weekly fs report, and monthly Avg, listed for all to see!
