  How many want out?

  how many jws are there currently in the wt who want out but are held back by things they feel they can't control?

  i hear posters say that if they're still jws then they must believe it.

  what about the people whose whole family are jws and don't have any outside friends to turn to or for whatever reason are relying on their jw family for financial help and know that if they expressed doubts they would be cut off no questions asked.

  I hope you have a good wedding. I'm sure you will enjoy the part when the "speaker" talks about how a woman should honor her husband, conduct herself as a "lesser one" etc. And then comes the obligatory part when the speaker turns to the husband and says "Don't think you're going to get off that easy"...And the crowd let's out the obligatory muffled chuckles..HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA that's so freaking funny Mr. Speaker, it's only the 1,000th time I've heard the same lame old joke. Anyway, congratulations.

  i have a question for you who have a background of being wittness.i was forced to become a wittness by my mother.now when i am older i feel nothing but hatred becourse of that damnable brainwash.from my early boyhood i have allways been attracted with what is called satanism.this i confess now.the only true religion for me.that's i ask from you folks.is there anyboby out there who confess satanism after leaving jw's?

  I've always wanted a tattoo; I've thought they were really cool since I was a little girl. Now that I'm mentally free, I'm looking into getting one. I just want a small one, preferably a star, maybe on my tummy (near my left hip) or somethin.

  This is bullshit.Satanism is not a religion of pedofiles of any kind of abuse.I

  New, there are pedophiles in all religions. I wasn't saying all Satanists are pedophiles, or that all those interested in Satanism are victims. It happens in some Satanist religions, but I'm sure not all of them.

  That's why I asked you what your kind of Satanism was. Obviously, what I think of as Satanism and what you think of as Satanism are two different things. I was hoping you would enlighten me with your views and beliefs so I can have a less one-sided picture. I am open minded and sincerely interested.

  as i was growing up in the troof.

  there were sayings used over and over again to control my behaviour.

  the biblical on bad associations spoil useful habits and another on just because everyone else does it doesnt mean you have to do it to, would you jump off a cliff just because other people do what were the sayings that bugged you?

  "Do not be irritating your children" (That verse was never really encouraged to be applied in any sense other then being inconsistent in discipline) Speaking of which,

  I'll confess to being fascinated with the concept of Satanism since I was a teen, but not fascinated enough to follow through on it. It's too much for me.

  Just curious...what do you consider to be Satanism? At least, what's your idea of becoming a Satanist as your religion?

  IMO, people could be attracted to Satanism as a religion because of being abused by Satanists or experiencing other ritual abuse as children, creating a compulsion in some to act out on it. And a compulsion to deny the self happiness and love. (I definitely struggle with both of those issues almost every day.)

  I'm not saying that's the case with you, just an alternate answer for some people who posted here who seem confused.

  Armageddon dream

  i used to have horrible nightmares from the time i was maybe five until i was maybe thirteen that armageddon has come and i'm on jehovah's bad list.

  i had them at least three times a week initially, but gradually as i grew older they were less frequent and then they finally stopped altogether...or so i thought.

  last night i had one for the first time in at least seven or eight years and it was just as terrifying as it was when i was five.

  I used to have Armageddon dreams a lot...usually I was running around trying to save people when the end came, and because I was stuck behind saving people I usually got left out or something. Really scary. And weird!

  I was obsessed with Nazis and concentration camps when I was young too! I had nightmares about the Great Tribulation and the 'Gestapo' breaking into the KH and taking my family and friends away. Some pretty gruesome, torturous killing of people I loved, too.
