Anyone Know About The PA Convention?

i had "met" a few gals when i first left the wts (seven years ago) who talked about this convention....one was from western ny....but i have since lost touch with them and lost their email addies years ago.

The JWs still blind to the implications of the 1995 generation change

in 1995 the wts as time finally caught up with them, they had to yield to the inevitable and admit that its hitherto interpretation of the so called 1914 last generation was erroneous.

to all intents and purposes the end was indefinitely posrponed it could be centuries away according to the new explanation.

yet the r&f do not seem to realise these implications and are apparently suffering from collective blindness they still believe the end is as near as it was before 1995, just round the corner.

I don't quite understand the non-reaction. I imagine my sisters embraced the "new light." I did wonder, though, how my mom took it. She joined the borg for the promise she'd never have to die and would greet her dead parents and brother in the new system. She died this summer.

Will they ever reach the point where the changes are one thing too much?

finding out jehovah's witnesses were a cult on a number of occasions individuals would warn.

me about being one of jehovah's witnesses and.

say that the religion was really a cult.

I just left the borg, not knowing at the time if they were right or wrong; I just couldn't do it any more and there were doubts in my mind. I found this forum and read Crisis of Conscience about five or six years out. I went into a depression over the lies and lost lives. The Malawi situation just was too much. I was sad and then angry that I'd give so much of my life to the cult and that I'd brought my kids up that way.

10,000 steps a day .....................are you kidding ???

i have read to get your exercise quoter in for the day you should be walking at least 10,000 steps per day.................yikes.

ive just taken the dog for his usual 30 minute walk and on average i clocked up about 500 steps per 5 mins...............it wasnt very acurate cos he kept stopping and starting...................but that s only about 3,000 steps per 30 minute walk.. as im not very active ( spend too much time on here) where do i get my other 7,000 steps in ?

i would have to be walking round all day.

When I'm healthy I walk 3-4 miles a day and I still have trouble with 10.,000 steps. It's a lot of steps...

I like the body weight squats. I wodk a a front desk; I wonder how that'll go over?

1914 ,the Generation that got tossed in the Garbage Can

must have stood there 'knowing' that they would never die!

This is what pulled my mom into the org. She believed she'd never die; she died this summer, "faithful" since about '55. I didn't have contact with her as she lived with my sisters who are die-hard, drink the cool-aid jw's. I wonder if she knew about the generation change and what it did to her. I wonder what her last days were like. She died of congestive heart failure so must have known her hours were numbered. I wish I could have been there to hold her and tell her it was OK. How many others must have had to face the error of their entire lives; it breaks my heart.

i have a mix of friends from democrat to republican.

i am a registered independent myself.

i have heard it said, and watched in the news the obvious moves by the democrats, to put this woman in place to run for the office of president.

I hope she doesn't run.

The Democratic party seems to be in a terrible muddle.

i told her one question to ask when they come knocking is if jesus is their mediator since most dubs don't know he isn't according to their own teachings.. any other simple questions one might ask?.
