Yup; and to say the pledge and sing the anthem.

LAST NIGHT'S MEMORIAL.........
by Mary ini tried logging on here last night after i got home, but i kept getting a message saying that there was an error and i couldn't get on.
anyhoo, i walked in the hall last night with my parents, who also roped my inactive brother into going.
lol!

In my forty-plus years of dubdom I can only remember one memorial talk that was moving and I can't remember who gave it. It chronicled the last days of Jesus' life and a blow by blow description of how it might have been to die in the manner he did. It was really hard to listen to but made clear what a sacrifice Jesus made.

I love walking on the train tracks
by JH innow that the snow is all melted, and it's really warm out, i'm walking alot now.
i don't know if others like doing this too, but i love walking on the train tracks.
you won't meet any jw's and you're in the woods right in the middle of nature.. i took my shirt off and even got a little sun.. only hic is that you have to turn around once in a while to see if anything's coming.....

This thread reminds me of the movie, "Stand by Me."

I think that's illegal! lol Really, a grandmother in my town got arrested and fined for walking on the tracks. As if the police don't have anything better to do. She was told she was trespassing and that walking there was unsafe.

went over to someone's house for a big meal afterwards or out to eat at a restaurant?
This seemed to be starting as a "trend" as I was leaving.

Contact from my JW brother-in-law
by sass_my_frass inafter my wedding i sent out an email to every non-witness i know and jw parents and a couple of siblings; the first group to stay in touch with old mates or turn near-strangers into friends in a time of needing them; the jw family group so that they'd know what's going on in our lives and how the wedding etc went and partly because i didn't want to be 'shunning' them; i wanted to be the one showing love and making an effort to maintain contact.
i sent another out recently, i figure i'll make it a biannual report on the life and times of the frass family.
it's nothing at all controversial, just a 'what we're up to' email.

Wow, isn't wonderful just how much they're being pleasing to
godthe man-made org? He must be pleased with himself. You have the right to initiate communication with anyone you please
I agree with the above; I think you should act as though you never got his email and just keep them on the list.

I love this! My daughter (20 years old) works with a couple of other kids who either used to be jw's or are df'd and they'll pick this up. They sometimes call each other "brother or sister" and think its a hoot! I'm glad they have each other.

Well the memorial finished an hour ago in Sydney, where is my wife?
by jwfacts inthis is the first year i have not attended the memorial ever.
so i am sitting at home watching prison break, oh and surfing the net.
my wife and daughter went, which i was happy about, as now everyone in the hall will notice my absence and know i am an apostate, and was not just d/f for some petty crime.

Now that they've observed what is probably the last memorial (lol) did they say what to expect next and just when that end is finally coming? Or is everyone to stay tuned?

I haven't had anything quite that embarrasing yet. Always think twice before hitting the send key!
