Praying in the name of Michael the archangel instead of Jesus
by krismalone injust wondering what would happen if a brother saying a prayer in a meeting did it in the name of michael the archangel instead of closing the prayer with "jesus christ".
since jw's believe michael is jesus would he be counseled?
what if a brother used the name michael the archangel in their public talks instead of jesus?

I see the futility of life. We are just a virus on the planet. In a million years from now, when the sun explodes and destroys this section of the universe, aliens, in their flying saucers, will look out and say, 'no. there weren't nothing here.'
That's true. Even before our sun Explodes, what happens after we die. A few of our close ones would remember it for their lifetime and they are too gone shortly thereafter and our identity totally wiped out for eternity.
Religion and god is all a joke when we realize this hard truth.

Sign of apostasy
by Ireneus inelders arranged a sort of informal visit by a more capable elder accompanied by another brother who is more qualified than me from academic background.
their purpose was to reason with me as a last resort to avoid a jc.. during the two-hour discussion, i could make my point clear to them: “i don’t think any one particular religion has the whole truth.
it may be existing as bits and piece in all religions and schools of thought.

Apostate = a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principle.
JWs are clever in making the word "Apostate" sound as if its is a very bad state/behavior of a person. Don't fall for it.
In fact, we should be proud of being called apostates as we have the guts and determination to stand for the truth, against all the superstitious beliefs of religions

Using Watchtowers Own Reasoning Against Them RE: The Governing Body
by pale.emperor insomething occurred to me today.
quite randomly as i was working away at my desk i remembered an illustration from the bible teach book in which satan claimed he knew better than jehovah about ruling mankind.
here's the illustration from chapter 11 of that book:.

Of Course, the Teacher should allow the rebellious student to prove his point. If that is wrong, the Teacher should immediately show and prove the correct explanation before that class ends, not wasting any more time with that rebellious student, which affect the whole class.
The teacher should not allow the rebellious student to hijack the whole class for days, months, years , decades and centuries, during which the other students miserably fail, suffer and even die. And this is what Almighty Jah does as per WT

The Signs have appeared - Bloody Moon as per Acts 2:20. The moon appeared even more reddish to the Governing Body, indicating this is the end.
Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world's end, very soon after this 2018 Jan 31st Blue Moon. Armeggadon could be this Weekend during the Sunday meeting, or at the most Mid February 2018. It could be, It could be.
Does that not warm our hearts?

Acts 2:20 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and illustrious day of Jehovah comes
Watch out Folks. Armageddon may be anytime before this weekend. I am running to the KH now to get reinstated.

a question after my first JW meeting
by bleak ini attended my first jw meeting recently.
first, i would like to say what i agree with about the jehovah's witnesses beliefs and practices.. 1. they don't consider israeli's as "god's chosen people" and they don't worship israel as some holy land filled with righteous jews (although there are some there) as most so-called "christians" (christian zionists) erroneously believe they are instead of the "hypocrites" and "vipers" that it is actually filled with.. 2. they don't celebrate "holidays" like easter and christmas which are, in fact, remnants of earlier pagan practices.. 3. they don't put nation before god and christ.
they don't believe in war or going to war because of some crazy government/cia secret agenda.

When I was new in USA, I went to the Field service without a coat and tie. I was offered a tie to wear, by the elder conducting the FS.
This was very odd to me because prior to that in India, we do not wear ties, coats and even shoes for Field service. No tuck in of shirts either !!

Has Watchtower taken the joy out of 'the good news of the kingdom'
by UnshackleTheChains ini ask this question for the following reason.
i was sitting at the kingdom hall thinking about all the rules, procedures, policies, teachings that each member must follow ......or else!.
at the watchtower study we are reminded of the paradise earth where we will all be the same and happy.

I have seen more depressed people in my congregations than normal members. Now I understand that desperate, lonely, Insecure and depressed people get into cults very easily.
All their Joy were momentary, just after a Bubbling public talk. Once they leave the hall the Joy vanishes and harsh reality sinks in.
This momentary joy is a result of Unnatural promises and illogical reasoning. If the things discussed were natural and practical, the Joy would linger forever.

What would you do if you want to buy a car. Would you only read what the cars official website says or would you visit any Generic review sites like Edmunds or Carfax ?
Do you expect that Businesses would publicly display their past errors. If not why. Can the same be said of JW.org ?

WT predicting smartphones back in the 20s?
by paradiseseeker ini've come across a jw friendly article about watchtower predicting smartphones in the 20s.. .
of course, in the comments section there are a lot of jws freaking out saying "there is no doubt that this is the only true organization!
", "thanks jehovah that used his faithful and discreet slave to tell us some useful information about the future!

Well , during that time I think landline telephones as well as Wireless technology were already in use. So mixing both and foreseeing a new technology, is not a marvel.
Albert Einstein predicted that gravity bends Light. And this was technically proved several years later. So Einstein was guided by Holy spirit ?
