How many have left the WTS and joined another church/group?

at this point in my life i don't think i could trust any religious group.

i don't even feel the need to be a part of anything like that right now, and maybe never will.. but i know of some who have joined other churches/groups since leaving the borg.. why do some join another religion and why won't some ever get involved again?.

what makes us so different?.

I just left the org recently and ALREADY my sister is trying to get me back in the Catholic church!!!

I can't see myself involved in any religion again.

is your reputation the same here as it was in the congregation??

My reputation was spotless, my conduct above reproach. Elders tried to follow my fine example, without success. Sisters wouldn't leave me alone.

ok folks, if you live in the province of ontario, it should come as no surprise to you: we have a provincial election going on, and a very important one too.

Other than the insignificant $200 rebate Ontarians received a few years ago, I haven't seen any tax decreases. I have seen increases in municipal taxes, much of it said to be a result of provincial downloading.

The promise of tax cuts always appeals to voters, but does not address issues such as :

1. Closed emergency rooms in Canada's largest (and growing) city.

2. Clean water to drink, so we don't have another "Walkerton" tragedy where people died because of tainted water.

3. If someone knows how to cut taxes and still manage a $2 Billion deficit, I'd sure like to hear about it.

4. Yes, there are now fewer welfare recipients, so money is being saved there. But are the former welfare recipients working? No. Many are now homeless and living on the streets of Toronto. You can't get a welfare cheque if you don't have an address.

In the last eight years of PC leadership all these and other things have worsened. With this history, I have no confidence that they'll suddenly turn around and repair the damage that THEY have done to Ontario.

Well, the polling stations open in 5 minutes, so I'm off!!!

jehovah's witnesses are taught that they will live "forever" on paradise earth.. let's say the year is 278,486 (assuming armageddon occurred in 2003).

the millenium has passed, everyone has been resurrected, and earth has become the true paradise the jws predicted.. only one problem: you've done everything there is to do.

you've gone every place on earth there is to go.

My mental state will be excellent! I will be a totally spiritual man as I spend the majority of my time going out in field service to preach the good news to the animals, birds, fish, and insect species. They will learn that they too can have a relationship with god, and not have to suffer the pain of death anymore. Of course, nothing's free, and they'll have to go out in service too, and collect donations to submit to me.

Hmmmm, almost sounds like an MLM scheme.
