for example, maybe when you?re afraid you pray for courage and you?re given it.

well, folks, finally here!
actually, got here in february, but things have been insane trying to get the house finished.. we flew out in january, looked around, found a house we liked, bought it, flew back.. then, had to get here.
again, insanity!

this is just one of many stories of a particular adventure i had, and one that i have thought of many times over the years.
i?ve been on a lot of road trips, mostly in the us.

I was in the hotel management business for a while. Let's just say that I am recovering from it like the witnesses, LOL!
Wilst in the throws of that bullshit job, many people came in with car problems and we charged full price for they're rooms, and made them pay. It happened all the time. Not much you can do when a large group of people own a large hotel, I'm afraid.
I am oficially retired from that business now. Thank god. Although they did just call me and ask me to work May Long Weekend working straight midnights!!!!, LOLOL! I couldn't stop laughing... as I asked them if they were out of they're mind.

Got the lie whilst 19. Left about 8 years later due to my underlying depression being treated, and seeing what 'the truth' really was. Faded and will never ever return... one of the few things that can be guaranteed in this lifetime.
ok, so its been five years since i've been a technically, active jw.
an older lady came by to see me today.. she heard about my surgery last week and was in the area so she dropped by to say hello and wish me well.
no jw talk at all till the end of the conversation.
It was probably more for your mother's behalf.
One would have to believe so. It is odd behavior for the witnesses to give a dam about anyone but an active 'witness'.
sometimes when i log on to jwd i go directly to "jokes and humor" because i know that there will be something there that will crack me up.
i love to laugh and i think humor is great therapy especially when alot of us have been through so much.
its great that we can make fun of ourselves and can find the humour in many of our experiences.
I tend to find certain threads funny and persons characteristics on the internet funny. Having been one of them 100 percent, nobody can help get caught up thinking that this is real life and how people really think.
Somedays this whole place makes me laugh.

Wow.... treat people like you care about them... what a strange and new teaching! You must feel very good; most they could give a damm about, LOL! God help you if you go to the police about your child molestation case....
If they hadn't treated me so bad I may never have gotten help for my underlying condition (depression) to get me out of that mess. Thank god they did treat me that way.
i saw my family this past weekend while visiting my home state for a few days.
its almost comical at this point how terrified my own siblings are of me.
like they cant even look me in the eye when they talk ....its so sad.
I am sorry that you have to deal with that bullshit, flower. Most families are not like that... it's a pity that many witnesses were born with these kind of parents who are being manipulated by mis-quoted scriptures and sheer madness.
