  Do you still preach?

  many here are not jehovah's witnesses anymore because of one reason or another, but do you still preach?

  do you still think that it is important for a christian to preach?

  Fair enough. Let's say is it our duty to evanagalize or 'preach' or whatever to people? Did the bible not state that clearly?

  I am wondering myself about this point. Thanks for bringing it up.

  i heard some sad news today.

  an old friend of my mum's has apparentely committed suicide.

  i remember the woman well, a devout jw with an amazing sense of humour and a lovely personality.

  do you think that god enjoys killing people?

  it sure sounds like it to me; jw doctrine more or less scared me into thinking that god is going to kill all persons whom he/she thinks is not doing his will.

  my question is, how can god kill someone for not being "christian", or following the bible out of sheer ignorance?

  You said that calling the bible B.S. is wholly inappropriate. I could not disagree more! "All scripture is inspired of god and beneficial..." bla bla bla... bullshit. BULLSHIT. 1. It is not beneficial. In the old testament they don't want you to sit on your wife's bedsheets whist she is menstrating, lest you scream out "unclean, unclean" to everyone like some kinda jackass...... it's not beneficial in the least.
  2. It's not inspired by god. Don't you think that god would have done a better job preserving it????

  Moreover, if a God did that, it is totally unfair to his children to make them go through these hoops to find out about the mind of God and then come up with the wrong answer based upon corruption of the words of God.

  Farkel wrote the above words and I could not agree more. I have done enough hoop jumping to find out if god wrote it. It is bullshit.

  Farkel V Minimus - Lets talk

  just recently the forum has seen some posts relating to these two prominent members of the forum.

  we have the thread about farkel being a genius, and the thread where farkel and minimus have a bit of a "shebang" (that's nw england talk - excuse me).. the thing is, i honestly think that both of these people are becoming a little bit too enthralled with their own importance.. farkel's "concerned about minimus" thread was a deliberate jibe at minimus, and minimus clearly is p**sed off with farkel's comments.. overall i think that farkel has outstanding talent and intelligence, however he is harsh and obviously has some personal problems (as do i, and many of us).

  minimus is a great contributor to the forum, but he appears shallow and sycophantic.. lets get the whole issue out of the way.
