There are free OCR programs online that are absolutely amazing! You should try them!
For example,
It worked when I copied JUST the text area of the PDF... with the snipping tool... It copied everything PERFECTLY.
However, copying just the text area is tedious... If THIS part can be automated, we have "it" made!

New Revised NWT Inspection Project

1984 Bible release vs. now
by rebel8 inin 1984 a revised nwt was released.. i lived in jw fundieland at the time and i believe thats the year i got baptized.
this was the tail end of the great apostasy scare and a great gearing up for armageddon because we were told, in print, that it would come in the 20th century.
we were positively whipped up into a fervor.

Hebrews 1:6, most definitely.
I do not know of other changes that were that big...

at first, maybe even a year ago, i would have thought, yeah... the apostates have half-truths and they utilize some truths and then lie about the rest.. well, for the benefit of all the lurkers in here: trust the apostates!

I have been on this site for around two months. In those two months, I have learnt a ridiculous amount of JW history and I now have insight on how HUMONGOUS of a SCAM the JW's are. At first, maybe even a year ago, I would have thought, yeah... the apostates have half-truths and they utilize SOME truths and then lie about the rest.
Well, for the benefit of all the lurkers in here: TRUST the apostates! This will seem like such a foreign concept to you, but please, do trust us. You will be SHOCKED OVER AND OVER AND OVER FOR MONTHS once you learn TTATT, The Truth about the Truth...
No, we don't have all the answers. We don't know if there IS a God or there isn't. We don't know what TRULY happens to us when we die. But here's a newsflash: NEITHER DO THE JW'S!!
What we DO know is this: JW's are a false religion. They are a cult. They are a publishing corporation who could really care less about the TRUTH about the Bible. They have changed their beliefs so many times, it's hard to keep track. A whole book would have to be written about all the doctrinal changes.
I know that some of the stuff the apostates say is hard to verify. But trust me, I have gone to great lengths to verify, for example, that we taught that Armageddon was going to happen in 1915. I have actually held a copy of the book where this is written, found in a JW Kingdom Hall. I have actually taken pictures with my phone of this book. I keep these pictures as reminders that yes, the apostates really tell the truth about JW's.

REACTION from my neck of the woods...
by problemaddict inas some of you may know i am in the midst of a fade, working on the family coming along (new thread to update there).
most mf my close friends are still jw's to varying degrees.
i would say most are couples that are around our age (25-35), and they attend maybe 90% of the meetings, go in service on sat, pioneer in april, and have a couple bible studies etc... in general the good kind.

Um... I cried... but they weren't tears of joy... they were tears of pain at seeing so many people so thoroughly deceived. (I still believe in God so...) I prayed for help to control my feelings and keep my cool.
One lady in front of me blurted out a few sighs... hers were of "joy"...
I was absolutely DISGUSTED...
My FIL could not go, the first thing he said was, "are there any doctrinal changes"? My GF and I have the strong suspicion that he is of the "conscious class"

Help with making a "timeline of beliefs"

"a jw/bs would have believed the following in 1880:.
the last days started in 1799.. jesus's parousia occurred in 1874.. jesus started reigning in 1878.. the end of the harvest will be in 1914.. the end of the gentile times will be in 1914.. the end of the world will be in 1914.. belief in the ransom sacrifice is vital for salvation.. hell is not a bible doctrine.. .

I finally got some help from someone... I got the Chronology section, and the blood and medicine section done...
I just need other parts like when they changed the cross, smoking, christmas, etc...
I think there is a section on the index that has a lot of the doctrinal changes...

by ILoveTTATT ini am a bit confused... i am looking at watchtowers from 1942, 1941, 1940, etc... and they are already saying that the enthronement, the last days, etc... all started in 1914.. does anyone know the last reference to the following dates:.
1914 as the end of the world.
1915 as armageddon.
