  Potty training kids and different views...

  when i was growing up, i remember my parents would put those plastic "cover" things over my sisters panties and put those protective sheets on the bed to help them with potty training.

  especially when they were doing great with using the potty on their own during the daytime.. my aunt in texas would beat her kids arses if they wet the bed.

  (now i do not agree with this way).

  I have four grown Children. Each one Unique. I used Cloth Diapers most of the time.

  My Sons were both close to Three when they gave up Diapers. We had quite a few wet beds and lots of work!

  One daughter completely gave up Diapers day and night when she was only 15 months old. She would climb over the bars of her at night to go to the potty. She couldn't tolerate wetness against her skin.

  The Younger daughter rather enjoyed wearing Dirty Diapers; she'd sit in a corner and suck her thumb. She was past three years old when she started wearing Big Girl Panties but she was a Bed Wetter throughout Elementary School. We allowed her to wear a Disposable Diaper at night. It was much easier than washing Sheets, Blankets and so forth on a Daily Basis.

  I suggest Not to Make a Big Deal out of Potty Training. Unless a child is physically or mentally disabled, they all eventually get through it.

  For those of you who have loved ones on the inside....

  my wife is still on the inside.

  sometimes i dont care about that or about the wtbts's nonsense.

  and then some days, i wake up and i have all this anger inside.

  I forgot to mention he promised to do Anything to keep me from leaving but Begged me NOT to ask him to Leave his Religion! With that said, I don't think some are able to break free emotionally. Very sad.

  I carried that "anger" in me for many years. I ended up Divorcing my husband after nearly 23 years of marriage.

  i was raised jw.

  was being crushed under the weight of the expectations and at 20, after moving to a new city (boy do i wish i hadnt trasferred to a new cong) i quit attending.

  My granddaughter 5 mos old passed away today...

  Accept the fact you may need to see a Professional. Depression can be profound and difficult to control alone. It Can and Will get better with Time. You may lose family members but you may be the one who leads them out so be brave.

  Banned dual baptism

  i just saw the beautiful picture of my wife being baptized with her grandfather 20 years ago that i framed for her.. then i remembered that the society has now banned being baptized along side a loved one and sharing it them.. they of course feel that baptism is between you and jehovah.

  not true!.

  dedicating yourself is between you and jehovah not the visual display of baptism.

  wedding invitation revoked

  i have been associated with jw's since birth.

  i raised my kids in the religion....thinking it was the only way.

  recently, my daughter (who was baptized at 15 she is 24 now and has since stopped attending meetings, has been in a relationsip with a man and now has a newborn baby) was invited to a witness wedding and subsequently uninvited b/c she could possibly stumble the jw's who would be attending,since she has had a baby with a non witness and is not married.. .

  At least she won't have to buy a Wedding Present. She could use the cash to take her family out to Dinner while the Wedding is going on.
