As if investing Kingdom funds in hedge funds, Rand Corp. wasn't seedy enough. It wouldn't surprise me if Watchtower Inc. was connected to gambling, human trafficking, illegal drugs, etc.

by objectivetruth inthere have been a few posts in the past about watchtower inc. at 100 henry street, but i do not see the answer i'm hoping for.. can anyone confirm or provide details linking watchtower inc. to the wbts?
they are across the street, and one can easily assume that they are connected, but i don't see any definite links.. the closest i have come is this link: http://www.insideview.com/directory/watchtower-inc which lists watchtower.org as the website.
this could have been posted like this in error however.. according to 2014 sec filings watchtower inc. has a ceo named sholom drizin ( a man worth possibly 2 billion.).

New donation arrangement - double the contributions
by Splash inin the march 29th 2014 boe letter to be read to the congregations, this new donation arrangement is stated to be "an adjustment to financing kingdom hall and assembly hall construction worldwide".. this arrangement will remove the low-receipt kingdom hall construction worldwide (khcw) contribution boxes from kingdom halls.. incidentally, this used to be called the society kingdom hall fund (skhf) but this too never received very many contributions, even after it was rebranded and relaunched as khcw.. so how to increase revenues - another relaunch.. this time the voluntary and anonymous aspect is being focussed on, with a 'group responsibility' mindset instead.. don't ask the individuals to think about and contributing, ask the congregation as a whole, then fix it into a bank payment so it never gets forgotten and never decreases.. so why is this thread called 'double contribution'?.
the letter to be read says that this money will be used to "support the construction of theocratic facilities wherever they are needed".. so how does this differ from the worldwide work contribution box, according to a 2005 kingdom ministry?.

The genius of the new donation arrangement
by thedepressedsoul inive given this new arrangement a lot of detailed thought and how greatly it benefits the wt and how much it puts a strain on each congregation.. first, let me explain how the old arrangement worked.. you had 3 donation boxes in each kingdom hall.
one for worldwide work, one for kingdom hall construction and one for congregation contributions.. the congregation contribution box accounted for about 60-75% of all donations.
the world wide work box probably accounted for 20-30% and the kingdom hall construction for about 5% of the contributions.

The local KH was pressured into agreeing to a re-model because the RBC is going to be busy on other projects for the next decade. The RBC
stipulated that the re-model work had to be paid in full before they would agree to do the work. Pretty nice operation: non-negotiable price, non-negotiable terms.

she fought against my parents becoming witnesses before i was born.
she owns the book 30 years a wt slave and suggested i read it.

Can Ministerial Servant give a prayer for wine or bread at the Memorial?

) he does not look like elder material at all.
if ms can't give the prayer at the memorial, then he must be an elder by now.

In our hall you they always have elders pray over the emblems and you have to be at least a MS to pass to plates or take attendance or be a baptized teenaged elder's son.

What usually happens after the memorial?
by Frazzled UBM indo members of the congregation usually have a meal together after the memorial?
does the fact that my wife has decided not to travel across town to her filipino congregation and is going to the local one instead and wants to be picked up when it finishes at 8 pm mean that she hasn't been invited to a meal with her filipino congregation and that she is being socially excluded by them?
i think this is good news but i don't want her to get caught up with the local congregatin because i don't want them coming around to pressure her to attend when she is irregular.
