I must say that it was the sum total of all the above; however, the capstone has to be the following:
"Why bother with researching yourself when the Society has capable brothers assigned to do that for you." In other words, let us do all the heavy lifting, you just sit back, don't worry yourself, besides you will just confuse yourself, etc., etc...

When do Auxilliary CO's go out in field service?
by Quarterback ini moved into this new cong for over two years now.
we have this younger couple that are part time co's.
i know that they would be busy serving a cong when they are asked to do so, but that is not too often.

Magnum, I get your point. You have invested a whole lot more time and effort than I have.
I never "qualified" for anything except microphone and parking lot duty which is humiliating because that
let everyone know that I was not "spiritual" enough. I thank members of this forum for helping me get over
my own wasted time while in the org. You will find, hopefully the encouragement you need from by visiting this forum. Best wishes my friend!

Magnum, I sense a great deal of loathing and contempt in your post, I used to feel the same way.
Believe me, I have seen it all from the long-time elder who insisted on working door to door non-stop until noon, a CO who actually encouraged mid-morning breakfast runs, to publishers who had perfected the "pioneer shuffle" (you know, the opposite of speed walking).
As the song by Idina Menzel says, just "Let it Go".

Women in the WT world - International Womens Day
by JWdaughter inso, reading the articles about outstanding women in religion who are notable during this international day of women i noticed that among the episcolpalians, the catholics, muslims, buddhists, wiccans, mormons and bahais (and other random religous leaders that happen to be female) there is not one jw woman mentioned as holding a significant position.
do you think any of them will look at the list(s) and wonder?
while barbara anderson is significant in a ministry regarding the wt, she is not listed, nor is she a jw.

demand to live in a nice big home, and drive a newish four door vehicle, period. They will be content with nothing less, even though the undereducated JW hubby is breaking his back-side as a sweaty blue-collar albeit high-paying craft with little chance of getting a desk job during his fast approaching late middle-age. Is that what you were after?

Do you think not having the book study in private homes has had much effect?
by truthseeker init's been a few years since the organization ended the book study arrangement in private homes.. gone was the last opportunity to have tea and biscuits and a natter with the friends afterwards.. do you think people regret losing the book study?
for some, it may have been the only time they were able to get some "associaton".

Amusing line in April 2014 KM

seat saving: when the doors to the facility are opened each morning, please to not rush to the seating area of your preference as if competing with fellow attenders.
a self-sacrificing spirit that moves us to seek the good of others identifies us as true christians and moves onlookers to praise god.. ................................................................ i personally don't recall them previously making reference to the jw-version of the "running of the bulls" that takes place every morning when the doors open at 8:00 a.m. have seen it myself many times, it's always good for a laugh.
