i am sure there has been a post about this subject, however being a recent addition to the network i don't know how to do a search.
and i'm sure new folks have joined since then.
i am really curious of how others came to know ttatt.. for me is was a real bad experience with one elder after another.
One word: INTERNET!
because they don't know what to do and they want to numb the pain .
especially for bornins..
A MS in our hall used to give parts/talks drunk. People who knew him could tell he was blitzed.
when you get your anonymous survey pledge an exorbitant amount.
the elders will make the resolution based on the fake pledge and it will create conflict between the branch and the cong....when the donations don't come in the branch be like "pay the man".
the local body will have to have several local needs parts which will highlight the branches focus on money.
when are these pledge slips going out?
hello folks:.
just curious....back when they institutued the voluntary donation arrangement for the literature rather than specifying a cost....was the reason related to avoid paying taxes....i heared this somewhere, but checking to see if there's real proof or some letter from the borg.. thanks.
kool jo.
@Obliette
Yes, the WT filed an "amicus curiare" or "friend of the court" on that one didn't they. So much for being no part of the world when you are Swaggart's bed-fellow, well only in a legal sense.
...from a school nurse clinical day in my nursing program and asked my wife "how was your day?".
she replies "good, i'm tired though because i was cleaning out the spare room and threw away a bunch of books.".
my ears perked up because she has a habit of trying to decide whether or not i 'need' what i have or should throw it away so i asked "which books?
SOONER7NC, what brought that on? Spring Cleaning?
"NWT and a songbook" you sound like a "newly interested one", JK!
just read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.
congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.
congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.
Nugget,
I agree, this is quite disturbing. If this new arrangement is in fact put in effect, the congos will be indefinetely on the hook for the pledged amount in lieu
of their monthly mortgage payment. One can just imagine that they have studied the possibility of some congos "defaulting" on their pledges, so I am
sure that they have contingencies. It is my understanding that remodels are all mandated by the RBCs and more so now that they have a centralized "RBC" arrangement. Sounds like Communism to me.
i heard that it happened a couple of days ago.
he's in his 60's, was a prominent bethelite from a long line of bible student/jw family.. another one bites the dust..
Prologos, a well-seasoned public talk-giver would easily overcome the sound being turned down b/c he would have
mastered counsel point #17 "use of microphones"

Welcome,
I can not add any more insight to what has already been said here. I think Searcher's post is above is the most
realistic and staigtforward. I'm sorry there's no way to eat your cake and have it too-she has told you to take a break, so do it.
a friend of mine, an evolutionist, is asking me to acquire an lifehow did it get here?
by evolution or by creation book.
the edition is not important and the newer condition the better.
I am one of the uneducated people that had to "consume" this publication, but
I always thought there was something not right with it. I wondered about the qualifications
of the writers and why they would try to print a creaton/science book.
