A book Club is a great idea! I always wanted to start one. I love reading crime stories and biographies.
If anybody starts one let me know, I would love to join.
okay, so i was at the ministry school/service meeting last night (as to why and all that see my answer to blondies watchtower review this week), which actually was not totally horrendous since i brought some essay questions to work on for a university class im taking.
i probably looked so theocratic (hehehe).
so during the service meeting theres a part on bad association, being careful at school, at work, blah blah blah.

I am sorry if I offend anyone but this story is so ridiculously dramatic all the lines set me in to hysterical laughter!

"Christina, Christopher, Damn It!"
And my favorite line from that movie is when Joan Crawford says to her daughter:
"I should have known you'd know where to find the boys and the booze"
i saw a fight break out on the platform between an elder and a unbelieving husband who accused the elder of f---ing his wife.
he then threw the lectern on the floor and pushed the elder.

UNDERCOVER,
THESE ARE SOOOOOOO FUNNY! THANKS!
WT study conductor fell asleep during the Circuit Overseer's talk on Sunday, snoring enough to disrupt the meeting and have the CO ask someone to wake him up.
Years ago we had piano players instead of recorded music. Our hall had 4-5 piano players that took turns playing each meeting. One of the assigned piano players was an older sister that couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. She was terrible. One time halfway thru the song(after butchering most of it) she stops and announces, "Wait, wait. Let's start over". Another meeting the person assigned was absent. The chairman said, "We need a piano player". The older sister jumped up to go play and someone at the front of the hall(not realizing how loud they were going to be) says, "We still need a piano player". Half the hall lost it. There was more snickering and giggling than singing during that song. These are really great stories everyone. There is nothing more funny than laughter in a supposedly serious situations. In good taste of course.
i think we should vote who has the funniest stories.
they were sooooooooo funny.. what was your favorite?.
great post minimus!

praying_mantis,
I am not sure we told the attendant just to get our seats back. We were just a little uneasy about going to get our books fron under the family's legs. So we asked the attendant if he would do it for us.
If I recall correctly we did first ask the father sitting in our seat for our stuff once we saw it there but he acted like he didn't know what we were talking about. What an A-Hole!! I still gotta laugh though.
We did tell the attendant we were working and came back and they were in our seats so I guess he felt bad for us and decided to ask them to leave.
I felt a little weird about kicking them out but the seats were rightfully ours.
