my very much in wife commented with no prompting that they have a hierarchy in prayers.

if the ill or shutins are mentioned that is all, not so much as a phone call let alone a visit.

Appalling start to the new year with this Cult!

the cult is so screwed up its appalling!first thing this morning and this shitty text is what i get for the start of the new year.

"the 20th century ended on 31st of december 2000 at 23:59:59 +1 second so technically, yes, the next decade according to that would begin next year.

but the twenties started to day.i hope these are the roaring twenties!

Cost to build a hall and the lies of the cult

i was listening to a podcast on cost to build a hall and there was a brother from the stage saying it costs the cult half a million to build a hall.

lol its bs.

there is no fing way that it cost the cult a half million to build a hall.

Here in California the cost to build any building is stupidly high. So to build a 220 seat KH in our semi rural California city in the central valley it actually was about $500k. So my guess is that wt cherry picks a few high budget kh builds to use as examples of how much it costs to build a kh. The actual cost to build the average KH will never be truly revealed to the rank and file sheeple just like the cost to use an assembly hall for a day!

Big elders meetings?

i hear of whole circuit meetings being held, taking all day.

maybe just usual yearly stuff, but it seems the local elders immediately held a followup.

i am sure it will be about better local control, more charity, kindness, that sort of thing.

The relocation of publishers and the reallocating of "servants" is in full swing here in California. It's got the older ones in a full panic but they just try to pass it off as, 'jehovah knows best'! At least 17 congregations in the greater San Jose, CA area dissolved! I'm waiting and hoping that this will come back to bite the wt in the ass!

The amazing decrease is surely a sign of jehober's blessing! lol lol

Latest Circuit Assembly Money Assault!

probably not new to many of you but i'm gonna post it anyway!.

i went to a circuit assembly last week at the fremont, ca assembly hall in fremont, ca to be with my wife so she could be there to 'witness' the baptism of a person she "studied" with about 2 decades ago!.

at the main entry to the assembly hall there are 3 or 4 large double door entrances.

Probably not new to many of you but I'm gonna post it anyway!

I went to a circuit assembly last week at the Fremont, CA assembly hall in Fremont, CA to be with my wife so she could be there to 'witness' the baptism of a person she "studied" with about 2 decades ago!

At the main entry to the assembly hall there are 3 or 4 large double door entrances. Ten feet inside and directly in front of each entry, in the foyer were very conspicuously located contribution boxes with 2 sisters posted on each side of each of the boxes. It was absolutely impossible to miss the blatant message! In addition there were 2 ATM's also located in the foyer with a sister posted at each of the ATM's. At least 3 times during the day all were reminded from the platform about the contribution arrangement. Damn it would have been very embarrassing to me if I were still a jw to see and hear all that!

What's next? Setting up a little red kettle on a tripod outside and having some sisters ringing a little bell? It ain't that far off!

in the late 80's when i was in my late teens i used to with my then wife to be attend a monday night pre-watchtower study at a local elders house.. this guy was revered as very knowledgable and he was scholarly and interesting to listen to; so at the time it was a genuinely enjoyable monday evening spent with oftentimes discussion would veer far of the subject at hand and lasting to well after 11pm some evenings.. this particular night, the subject up for discussion was "the faithful and discreet slave" and how we should be obeying them without question.

right in the middle of the study this elder said as a question not in the wt article; "how do we really know the current fds as lead by the governing body are the real deal.

i mean what actual proof do we have?".

I find it curiously interesting that 'FDS', now that there are only 8 of them, are directing an organization that no longer claims to be "spirit directed" or at least newly baptized persons are not required to publicly acknowledge that becoming a jw makes them part of a 'spirit directed' organization!

No more "spirit directed" phrase in the baptism questions?---Strange!
