  Evolution Hole #1 - Origin of Life

  disclaimer: my graduate degree is in business, not science so i'm writing as a layman in this field.

  yes, i know that someone is going to say that evolution does not encompass this topic and should be sectioned off under abiogenesis.

  i'm not trying to argue semantics here but it seems like a case of avoiding an uncomfortable subject.

Yes, I know that someone is going to say that evolution does not encompass this topic and should be sectioned off under abiogenesis. I'm not trying to argue semantics here but it seems like a case of avoiding an uncomfortable subject. It does fit with the term evolution as defined by the Cambridge Dictionary:

  › biology Evolution is the ​process by which the ​physical characteristics of ​types of ​creatures ​change over ​time, new ​types of ​creatures ​develop, and ​others ​disappear.
  My personal view is that the only thing crazier than believing in creation is believing in evolution. I have lots of unexplained issues related to creation, but belief that life just somehow started by itself is not at all credible.

  Paul you're not alone. As usual there is no full disclosure of anything that is inconvenient to the case they are trying to make. The point is that they are telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. If you don't believe it you are either ignorant or stupid or both.

  Evolution is a Fact #2 - DNA Functional Redundancy

  in the first thread in this series we looked at how the same protein molecule can be assembled by many different sequences of amino acids.. we took the example of cytochrome c and saw that there are many times more possible sequences than atoms in the known universe.

  however the sequences in humans and chimps are identical, and as we look at species less closely related to us by evolution the more differences we find.

  this is very compelling evidence for common ancestry.. in this post we are going to look more closely at the dna code behind those amino acid sequences.. the "language" of dna is made up of just 4 "letters" - a,c,g and t.. sequences of letters are read off in groups of 3 called codons.. acggcctcgaatgccttc would be read as acg gcc tcg aat gcc ttc.

  So biological systems must be much simpler than inanimate systems since a designer is never needed
