Sorry that we find ways to take away nearly everything you have worked for in your life, and then remind you that they were being merciful, and that in bible times they may have had to stone you.

Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word For The WTBTS To Say!
by JW GoneBad insorry to raymond and cynthia franz for expelling them on trumped-up charges and forcing them from there bethel home.. sorry for demonizing many of raymond's accomplishmets, such as 'the aid to bible understanding' (the blue book) that he had a hand in putting together and that too many old timers remember who grew fond of reading to expand their bible knowledge.. sorry to oompa for disfellowshipping him and causing him to be shunned to the point where he couldn't take it any longer and wound up taking his own life.
.
sorry seems to be the hardest word for the wtbts to say!.

Disfellowshiping a pagan practice says AWAKE! magazine
by Rufus T. Firefly inthe [catholic] hierarchys excommunication .
is altogether foreign to bible teachings.. .
the encyclopedia britannica says that papal excommunication is not without pagan influence.

Aren't we all THRILLED that God provided "new light" to the Faithful and Discreet Slave and gave us the proper food at the proper time clearing that old light out?

Why do the GB need a new Bethel compound if the end is so close? Here is the "official" answer
by sir82 inas most of us know, the society is spending 10's of millions of dollars on a giant, state of the art, secluded bunker country club headquarters in very remote, isolated warwick ny.. the question that "some" have is, why?
if armageddon is coming "very soon", why go to all that time & effort & expense?
why have thousands of jws dedicating their time to this massive effort instead of the "lifesaving ministry"?.

snare, printing has been out of brooklyn for almost a decade now, HQ is all office type stuff and support staff. So there is no need for printing in warwick

slimboy, i felt that way at first, although i was disapointed as a bethelite at the time to learn of it, but it didnt really shake me. Later, when I read a positive article they wrote about the UN in the Awake! magazine, while trashing it in talks and other publications, realizing they said it was to gain access to this "library" it seemed like much more than just a library card.

by losingit inimtyping this on my phone, please excuse the misspellings.
i'm sad.
she lived a long life, 90 years, and battled alzheimer's for the last 5 years of her life.

I am sorry for your loss, my great grandmother had alzheimers for many years, she lived to be over 100. I felt so sad for her growing up, watching her with that disease. Hopefully science can progress more so future generations can eliminate it.

Thanks for sharing, my to-read list keeps growing.
People ask why there is such an amount of secrecy with the translators. Its because if they are kept confidential, no one can question their qualifications. A brother who worked in my department in Brooklyn spoke russian and another language from that part of the world (I'm not hiding the language, just cant remember it at the moment). He was a nice enough guy, but had never been to school to be formally trained in anything like that. He got shipped to another country to work in their translation department, doing actual translating. It was the joke of our department that whatever language he was working on might not be getting that "extra portion of holy spirit" that the dubs always pray for.

Traffic stats for JW-n
by Terry inhttp://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/jehovahs-witness.net#trafficstats.
alexa traffic ranks.
how is this site ranked relative to other sites?.

OneEyedJack
Yes, I would not 100% trust stats on where visits are coming from. I use a proxy server, not because I have much to hide, but it is supposedly more secure, so i might as well and it doesnt slow anything down.

Question about "millions now living will never die"
by Perversion of a truth inokay, so the other day someone posted something about the talk in 1918 givin by rutherford (also released in pamplet and the talk repeated numerous times through 1924) titled "the world has ended, millions now living will never die".
when looked up on the watchtower library, numerous times the talk is sometimes referred to as "millions now living will never die" and also "millions now living may never die".
my question is there some honest explanation as to why some times it would read "will" and other times read "may"?

Let's let Fred Franz, former president of the WT, explain the theories on when the world was supposed to end himself. He does it well.

The whole video is worth a listen, but he specifically adresses this at about 5:30

Pretty sad. Breaks my heart actually, seeing so many of the older JW's getting sick and broke. My grandparents are almost 90 and barely get around anymore. When they came in the truth they were promised they would never grow old and die. But they are still faithful to this organization. Even called me to invite me to CO visit today. It has to somehow rock their faith that they are growing old and dying. My grandfather finally admitted to me he hopes he dies before Armageddon because hes to old to go through the times it describes. I wish I could mentally free him, but its all hes known for the last 75 years.
If this was a mercy killing, as it seems to be, I can just imagine them hoping for forgiveness as they went through their decision.

Another non-JW reacts to Sparlock video
by cedars inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-ssv2nh0rc.
and two weeks ago i highlighted another video where sparlock helped an ex-mormon.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmesmlhydru.
though it still depresses me to think of all the young ones (including my own relatives) falling under the influence of this dangerous piece of propaganda, it's at least some small comfort that the sparlock video is backfiring so dramatically among thinking non-jws.. .

Did the Sparlock video get pulled from jw.org or am I just not looking in the right place?
