  Do Circuit Overseers Give Up Their Lives For Jehovah?

  i've heard for years how we should really appreciate the circuit overseers and their wives for all that they give up to enter the circuit work... do you think that's true?

  well, i can remember that when the elders knew the circuit overseer was coming, they use to ask who wanted to work with them in field service and put peoples names down for whatever time they wanted to work with them in the field service and also they use to ask who wanted to have them around for meals, like lunch and dinner but mainly dinner i think and i know that people use to give them money and other little gifts. and i am sure there were donations given to the circuit overseer as well to cover other expenses

  there were some that were very nice and there are definitely some that use to think they were just it.

  Disfellowshipping - How long to return?

  does anybody know how long it takes for one to get re-instated if you are not that well liked by the body of elders?

  i was disfellowshiped for immorality almost 2 years ago.

  with my job and attending college to keep in step with my field of work, i have only been attending the sunday talk & wt meeting every week.

  well, over here in australia, i know someone that was disfellowshipped - i think it was for the same thing - and he was disfellowshipped for about the same time or a bit longer. it depended on whether the elders liked him or not as to when they reinstated him, even though it should have gone by his repentance...they wanted to make an example of him and thats what they did...he had to put in about 3 letters in total i think asking to be reinstated

  Ever do Volunteer Service at Bethel?

  i can't remember the proper term but they used to have volunteers come serve for a week or two at the farm.

  i had some friends serving at bethel at the time, the grimsley family, and they sponsored me to come up there for a week when i was 16. i flew up and stayed with some friends of theirs a few miles away from the farm.. all in all it wasn't a bad way for a 16 year old georgia boy to spend a week before school started back.

  i got to work with a pretty cool group of folks that week and i made a lot of new friends, none of whom i ever got to stay in touch with though unfortunately.

  i went to sydney for two weeks to help at the new bethel site when it was being built. i stayed with an italian "sister".....must admit, she and her daughter were very nice to me. i helped in the kitchen, typical, and in the garden a little bit.

  Jehovah's Witnesses Are Under Mind Control

  if you were to tell a witness that they were "brainwashed" or that they were "under mind control", they certainly would not rationally accept it.the reason is because witnesses cannot distinguish between mind control and "obeying the faithful and discreet slave".

  it is only after a person stops exposing himself to the subtle mind controlling tactics of the watchtower that a person can see how thoroughly duped they are in their beliefs.

  how might you be able to tell that you are no longer your own person, able to make your own decisions in your life?

  i went to my dr. today because my blood pressure was really high.

  156/106 and my meds weren't helping to lower it.

  can you get over depression without meds?

  well, i am on 30mg cipramil a day as i suffer depression and sometimes i get anxiety attacks.

  But there is a herb you should check out called........St.Johns wort. I cant take it because i am on depression tablets but that herb is for depression....please check it out....either on the internet or information from health food shops.

  He is just so sexy and good looking..................when he came over to australia for a concert, i ended up staying in the same hotel as him and not only that, i was in the room opposite him and the doors had peep holes so every time i heard his door open i would have a peak!!! his concerts are absolutely fantastic. i might try and get something else autographed by him again when he comes this yr ((((sighs))))
