Still do not know where I fit in the picture.....
by LyinEyes intoday is easter sunday, my younger kids went with cousins to hunt for eggs.
i saw many people out and about in their sunday finest with family going to church......... i go to the grocery store in my hooter's tshirt......... i know it takes time after leaving the borg to find your place,,,,,,,,,but i am wondering if i will ever feel differently than i do now?
i can't put my true heart into celebrating xmas, or easter,,,,,,these religious holidays mean nothing to me.

the land of limbo - i know that place very well......i lived in limbo for 10 yrs, not knowing what to do, not knowing how to live.....not knowing how to do normal everyday things......but things have slightly changed and i have made a concerted effort to live my life..for me, it wasnt a easy thing to do..the witness thing is always somewhere in the back of the mind.....well, sometimes anyway...god is always there for you, i believe there is a god.....i just think about the things i did when i was a witness...selling things just to go to an assembly just so people wouldnt talk, and also borrowing money to go...then you would have to buy new clothes to go and the list goes on...i am at peace with myself more now than i use to be...slowly getting happier as i go along.

she knows the horror stories of how my annointed ex husband treated me and my kids........ i know i am rambling on ,, but i really needed some one at that very moment of desperation... so i called a true friend to come over and take me away some where any where......and guess what,,, that is exactly what he did without hesitation....( he too was treated badly in his youth by the nazi cultic borg ) if he would not have been there to console me=========i may not be writing this now.... well i couldnt sleep ,, so i woke up at 4 am and decided to visit my invisible angels online..... i read and cried many posts touched my heart with the reality that we are all in this together,,,,,,,.
those bastards arent going to get me down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

i cant begin to imagine what that was like for you, how awful! if my best friend who is still a witness said that to me, i dont know what i would do. but you mention she said to you that your time is coming, well, just remember, her time is coming also.

My first easter!

we went to my sister in laws house and had coffee and toasted buttered hot cross buns and coffee and then swapped our chocolate eggs etc....

Dub Fads
by In_between_days inwhen you were a jw, did you witness a rather large enthusiasm from your congregation for passing fads?
what i mean is, one dub would start something and everyone would join in?
this was especially prevelant with the women of the congregations.. for instance, for a while every female dub was undertaking this strange diet where they basically drink this really odd and particularly disturbing looking mushroom that they kept in their fridge.

All the doors fling(or slide) open and 8-10 dubs spill out like a swat team with the elder or MS shouting instructions and pointing where to go. Me and a buddy used to go "hut hut hut hut hut...." whenever we spilled out.
That seems pretty funny to me....made my day....thanks
