Meat loaf-met him and got pics-great guy-very intense, also his writer, Jim Steinman, who has wrote "makeing love out of nothing at all' and 2 celine Deion songs. and too many others to mention.
Billy Joel-i would rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.
Fairy,
My favorite Dusty Springfield song:
Son of a Preacher Man
Billy Ray was a preacher's son
And when his daddy would visit he'd come along
When they gathered around and started talkin'
That's when Billy would take me walkin'
Out through the back yard we'd go walkin'
Then he'd look into my eyes
Lord knows, to my surprise
The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes he was, he was, ooh, yes he was
[brief instrumental interlude]
Bein' good isn't always easy
No matter how hard I try
When he started sweet-talkin' to me
He'd come'n tell me "Everything is all right"
He'd kiss and tell me "Everything is all right"
Can I get away again tonight?
The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes he was, he was, ooh, yes he was (yes he was)
How well I remember
The look that was in his eyes
Stealin' kisses from me on the sly
Takin' time to make time
Tellin' me that he's all mine
Learnin' from each other's knowin'
Lookin' to see how much we've grown and
The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only boy who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes he was, he was, oh yes he was
(The only one who could ever reach me)
He was the sweet-talkin' son of a preacher man
(The only boy who could ever teach me)
Was the son of a preacher man
(The only one who could ever reach me)
Was the sweet-talkin' son of a preacher man
Not my absolute favorite, but I think Neil Diamond and Barry Manilow are hella sexy. I swear I'm not joking about that. i've always had a thing for thing since a teenager. k i'm weird. kindly disregard me
I love "Son of a Preacher Man"
Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand.
TV & movie stars, both of them. Their voice could stop a show in its tracks.
Neil Diamond is very, very hard to beat. But Frank Sinatra does it. Barbara Streisand used to be one of my favorite singers, but her shrill political outbursts, which do nothing but prove her total ignorance of political reality, have turned me off to B.S. Celine Dione is pretty good, as is Cindy Lauper, a gutsy little singer. Right now, the position of my favorite female singer is open and I'm taking applications.

"Son of a Preacher Man" always gives me goose bumps! I love that song! Neil Diamond rocks! I don't care what anyone says. :) My current favorite singers are Chris Cornell and Serj Tankian. But that's just me. ~Aztec
I don't think it's any secret who my favorite singer/songwriter is...Al Stewart, but I am also partial to David Gates of Bread.

Hi fairy:
If you like Humperdinck's music, you should like Michael Buble. He has a great, rich voice, the likes of Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick, Jr. He is a new and upcoming singer from Canada. I love his new CD. If you would like to hear him, some of his music is at http://www.michaelbuble.com/home.php.
