What Was The Final Straw That Made You Leave The Organisation?

as a faithful and zealous witness, nothing can question your faith.

but one day, something does!

you begin to have doubts.

For me it was the generation change, only I didn't even realise they had changed it until 1998 because I had been so 'slack' with meeting attendance, I was on the way out, the generation change was the last straw, especially how there was no explanation of why and it was obvious it was just because the time had run out, they were almost all dead.

What are your experiences of dating in the truth?

i really never dated that much inside the orgainisation because of a lack of available brothers.

the couple of times i did not great.

i once asked a brother out and it was all over the congregation as to how inappropriate that was since it should be the man who does the asking.

Most of my stories are too hot for public forums, it was pretty wild in a small town, nothing else to do kind of way.

Here is an example though, driving at night.

Driving is a young pioneer brother about 20years, passenger seat another, in the back me, then my 'spiritual, example for the others, oh isn't he just wonderfull, elder material' boyfriend (yes we were planning to get engaged, yeah right) Then his friend on the other side of him. Can't remember where we were going, but we were kissing and cuddling a bit. Next thing I know he is unzipping my jeans and trying to shove his hand down my pants!!!! I was mortified (I was a very good girl at this stage) I froze, luckily it was the 80's and I had those super tight jeans on. I was so scared because I couldn't say 'no stop that right now you Dirty Bastard' (hehe). If I did pioneer bro would know what was going on. So I just sat there with my zip down until we got where we were going and somehow snuck my zip up without anyone noticing. (Those tight jeans were really hard to zip up were they not?) Mongrel, he got me when I couldn't squawk. I dropped him soon after. However I believe he was my downfall because I was never the same sweet innocent young girl again (I was 17 at the time).

So there you go, my experience of dating 'elder material' LOL

for those who don't know by background, i was raised in the organization, third generation.

there are many elders, two anointed, a po and many pioneers in my family with all sorts of contact with cos, dos, and people in bethel.

to get to my point... my father just called me.

Daylight Saving ends tonite in the land of Oz

yes, folks, it's the end of summer daylight saving time tonite.

so all clocks are to be turned back at 3 am australian eastern standard time.. what will you do with the extra hour?

Help Men Feed on Christ The Living Bread/JOHN BEHEADED 5000 FED

former jw kids, how did you survive the endless hours of meetings?

when i was a kid the part of that kingdum song that goes "help men feed on christ the living bread" always made me think of some poor anthropomorphic slice of pumpernickel being devoured by people in dress clothes.

ok, it still does.. another one that gave me a laugh was one of the by-lines at the top of the older nwt.

My siblings and I would make unflattering drawings of the dear brothers and sisters...with all the literature supplied by the faithful and discrete slave, we never ran out of sketch paper...and since the sketches were pretty dead-on, we'd get the giggles...then we would get in trouble.
We would play "spot the celebrity look-alike" at assemblies & conventions...also, my younger brothers would obnoxiously clap louder and longer than the rest of whatever section we'd be sitting in...one of my

We used to do those things too Nilfun, also we had a brother whose name sounded like lesbian, we used to giggle every time he was called on to answer up.
