by elinor ini just could not believe it when i stumbled across this forum recently.
i was actually doing research for my dad who wanted to see the world's viewpoint of the failed 1975 prophecy.
he came into the truth less than three years ago and though my mom has been a witness since she was a teenager she never spoke of that particular time period to him.

It's a boy!!

Congrats!! Lucas is my brother's name, so I think it's a great choice!
My brother and his wife are having a baby in march.. she wants to name it "Cove" boy or girl My brother hates the idea but she says she will wait til he is out of the room and name the baby that anyway. We are all franicly trying to come up with alternatives that she might like.

Convince me to move to your State (U.S. Only)

nothing is set in stone yet, but some changes in his career may allow for us to move wherever we like in the u.s. i love washington state, but i would like to move somewhere a little warmer.
i've lived in washington all my life and i need a little help in learning about the rest of the u.s.. so convince me to move to your state.

I can't help you, I think washington and oregon are great and if we move to a different state it will be alaska! We like the cooler weather and hate the heat, though, so.. like I said, I can't help!!
My husband (Pridefully Alaskan) likes to tell Texans that they have "a nice little state" (duck)

Someone went through my trash again and again!
by averyniceguy intoday, i went to put the trash outside and i opened my garbage can, i can tell that someone has been going thru my trash, i did not like it.

Could be the identity theft thing.. make sure you shred anything with personal info on it. and doggy do on top is good for human or critter invasion.. do you have a dog? can you borrow one for a few days? Mines a crapping machine, I'll send you some if ya like Wouldn't UPS love that!!

i was an elder and had just left bethel.
i didn't want to believe what i was reading especially from current and former elders.

I was shaking and nauseated.. I kept reading, though. I had sweat running down my sides.. a complete panic reaction. The more I read the more anger I felt for being so decieved. Then I felt stupid for having bought into jw crap all my life. Then I began to feel justified for leaving.. and began to accept that I had been duped, but so had others and they survived it and so could I.
I think these are all things I would have worked through without JWD.. this site just made it easier and faster, months instead of years. Now I come here mostly because of family related stuff that I still need to get past.
