  interesting after the infamous pearl harbor -- many of that "generation" are dying off -- hell it was 60 years ago -- it was a full 37 years after 1914 -- i know 1914 was an important year -- but surely 1941 was more significant -- 1945 with the nuke was also very significant and 1957 with the dawn of the space age -- leaving aside your wtbts prejudices -- which year in the last century was the most marked year?

  for everyone's convenience, i've summarized my synthesis into a short number of postulates.

  please tell me which of my propositions are provably false and therefore biblically inadmissible.. the godhead is a heavenly trio of three living persons: the father, the son, and the holy spirit (matthew 28:19, 3:13-17, 2 corinthians 13:14, ephesians 4:4-6, 1 peter 1:2 and revelation 1:4,5).the father is all the fullness of the godhead bodily, and is invisible to mortal sight.the son is all the fullness of the godhead manifested (colossians 2:9 cf.

  I still don't see much of a "New View of the Trinity" in this thread .... sorry.

  How about something a little different, like ...... the Trinity is acutally composed of FOUR .... not just THREE.

  In this way, the 4th can fill in when one of the other three is away on assignment.

  THIS would be more of a "New View" ...sort of like the 5th Beetle thing.

  How much of the bible do JW's really use?

  i've noticed over the last several weeks how often the same scriptures are used in meetings at the kingdom hall.. anytime galatians is mentioned you can just about be sure you are going to look up chapter 5 ver.

  19.. 2 timothy is going to be 3: 16. i can't remember considering any addional text to get the context of the verse, just reading the same verses over and over.

  i'm sure most of you can name lots more scriptures used by jw's.. i think i'm going to start taking notes at meetings and listing which verses are used, then i can look from week to week and see how often the same old verses are considered.

  It's a year of intensive "study" of selected material and then rehash and recap.

  Willy ... good point.

  Sort of like going to, maybe, 6th grade in school.

  Then repeating it again .... and again .... and again .... and again ....

  And then telling everyone around you how much you learned at the last meeting or assembly ... how interesting it was ... how great the Tower was .... how great the experiences were ....

  I always thought that if someone that has been in the organization for 20 years and actually "learns" something from a "cut and paste" talk, they must have been .... I'll be polite here .... a "slow learner"

  if you have a copy of the december awake magazine dealing with taxes note the first page of the article.. the wt uses two quotes to show taxes have been a concern for thousands of years.. the first quote is from a babylonian artifact dated to 2300 bce.

  the problem that presents is that only 69 years previous the world had been destroyed by a global flood according to wt chronology.

  which means that in a mere 69 years noah and his three sons have produced a nation with sufficient infrastructure to require taxation.

  dave and i went grocery shopping today, and after we came home, he noticed the propane tank cover for our rv was on the neighbor's front lawn.

  on closer inspection, he discovered someone stole one of the propane tanks..............the full one, of course.

  the trailer is only a year old.

  So sorry to hear about the loss.

  Just a thought however ... regarding the insurance company.

  I'm not sure of the total value of the items and repairs but you may be better off paying for it yourself instead of using your insurance. Your insurance can increase substantially if they are the ones paying.
