One thing that I do is have all of my cards switched over to on-line billing and payments. I pay my credit cards, phone, cable tv and even my electric and phone bills on-line. Most allow you to see your statement on-line and print it out from there if you wish.
That way, you don't have nearly as much stuff floating around in the mail, especially in apartments and places where the mail is centralized.

i've heard the expression a few times here but have normally not taken much notice.
i've been exited for 31 years and 4 months, well before the onset of elders, reproofs and marking.. i understand the first 2 but am all at sea about the the third.
someone please tell me exactly what "marking" is and how one becomes marked or a marker.. or markee!
Now if someone is DF or DA, they only announce it in their own congregation, correct?
I recall several times where the announcement was made in more than one congregation.
This is typically when someone has been in a congregation for a long period of time and then moves to another and is df'd or da'd.
The last one I remember was like .... "Joe Whoever, known to some in the congregation here, has been df'd (da'd)."

as a kid i would try to pay attention, but i just couldn't hang in there.
if i didn't day dream i was going to go insane.. i used to create scenarios in my mind that i was a jw super hero.
i had a special costume that was partially made of "flubber" that would allow me to bounce all over the auditorium.
We would dream about the clouds covering the sky and the heavens open up with a pouring rain to cool off the heat radiating off the Astro-Turf in that hell-hole known as Vet Stadium in Philadelphia.

As I recall, the Marking thing came up about 15 years ago and was a way for those in the congregation to exclude ones from social activities and events that were still "in" but considered bad association.
For example, a person dating a worldly person may fall into that category ... or a person who does things that may not get one df'd but are still not considered good (adult movies, regular association with worldly ones, etc.).
While the marked person would be treated as a brother in the KH, social events would be excluded.
Some brothers went to the extreme with this and since then there is less and less use of the term.

i enjoy swing dancing because it's very creative as a social dance.
you can learn a little or a lot, and enjoy it easily.
my parents taught me a little bit about swing dancing when i was young.

according to the watchtower, yes .
So in the Watchtower's wonderful "new world order", there are two classes of people on earth. Those who can marry (because they survived through Armageddon), and those "untouchable" ones who can only dream about being married.
What a paradise that would be !! I don't think there will be an issue with sex in the new system. I don't have access to my CD right now but I do recall an article some time ago mentioning that men resurrected in the new system will be smooth like the Ken doll and will no longer have to stand up to pee. ***** Rub a Dub
