  Memory Problems & Physical Abuse

  me and my fiance were discussing this last night when i suddenly forgot where i was!

  (just kidding).. but on a serious note, my short-term memory is lousy, and my mother's all around memory is crap.

  she suffered physical and sexual abuse as a child, and she passed the physical abuse onto me.

  I can relate to your memory problems.As a kid i was punched in the face or had my head slammed against a wall till i would almost blackout.It does scare me sometimes.I had done some research on head injurys and found any time the head is moved in a fast or hard jolt it causes some permenant damage to the brain.That is not to say that you have this,it could be you have a hectic life with a lot of stress and a lot of thoughts going on in your head all at once.Sometimes just slowing down may help.I am sorry for what your mother did, no child should have to live and have those memories.   well, i just got a mail letter from the local kh.

  remember i am the one who has a daughter that was lured into the jws a few years ago.. i got a letter from a mr. christianson inviting me to discuss the bible with him.. i made a copy of one of the threads on child molestation.

  i included a note telling him that based on the content of the attached infomation i cannot imagine what we could possible talk about.

  guess this kind of goes with the other thread i started about looking at the inner child that is still hurtingk by posting a pic of us when we where kids.. i found this pic of my parents, my mom was just 15,,,,,my dad barely 18, shortly after , they married soon and i was born when my my was just 16. .

  just looking at their faces in this moment in time, in this picture, i can see , that they were just kids too, that they were not ready to face the hardships of starting a family so soon.

  i am not making excuses for the things they both did,,,,,,,,,,, they both did many things to hurt me.

  Both my parents are dead ,and after raising four kids i can never forgive what my parents had done.I dont dwell on it, i just maked sure i raised my kids with love and an open mind not an open fist.

  Is satan stupid?

  why does satan do gods will of seperating the sheep by providing temptation?

  surely it would be better to turn everyone into jws and make gods job harder?

  if satan wants everyone to worship him, why isn't he just nice instead of supposedly making life so damned hard in the "last days"?

  Wether there is a devil or not.The problem is jws blame everthing on Satan.If you do something wrong it's Satan,if you get angry it's Satan etc.Instead of blaming themselves for being human they feel something had to make them have this emotion or outburst.Satan always takes the blame for peoples human side slipping from the watchtower.I do believe there is a devil but i take responsibility for my actions .Jws have this mentality( THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT).   i believe with certainty that the critical point when my de-programming from the jw mind-set began was when i was hired by my former boss and present friend of 9 years.

  she was the most adorably human person i had ever met, yet she was a part of the world nonetheless.

  i believe that our specific friendship began to infiltrate my conceptions about the world in a way that wasnt wholly evident to me.

  my boyfriend (feels more like fiance though i guess as we've talked about but just need the ring) and i have been together over two yrs and living together for over a yr. he never was a jw, and professes to be no religon and isn't even sure god exsists.

  Need help...I am so confused....(this will probably be rambling)

  i started going to church.

  i am going to a baptist church just because they have a great youth program at this one, and my daughter (12) has really gotten into it, which i think is a positive thing.

  i have never really taught her anything about religion because i never knew what i believed, and i am having to confront now, what exactly it is that i do believe.

  My belief is that you believe what you want ,not what others tell you .If you like the Bapist Church go.If you are not ready for a religion (it sounds like you are not) wait .You are what what you feel inside ,believe inside.The part of being a religion( not a cult) is you can take what they tell you and accept what you want, and ignore what you do not believe.It is your choice.As for your family finding out and being called an apostate ,either way it is better then being a lier to yourself.If you are not a jw and they will find out, you are already dead to them.You have a mind of your own ,that is something a jw does not.
