  My First Halloween! What should I wear?

  so i decided that i am going to give out candy this year.

  it's important to me because in all the years that i went d2d, noone ever gave me candy!.

  anyway, i was planning to wear one of my old nursing dresses (not a naughty nurse skanky one) with the old school white cap, and go as nurse rached.

  i think he would be a real buzzkill.

  for example, if someone were fornicating upstairs, he'd probably want to annihilate them with fire.

  or if someone were tapping the keg too much he'd want to take them to the back room and give them some strong counsel.

  I'll answer by telling the truth: The strongest, most murderess, vile, fiery rage of hatred that I have ever felt was towards the god I was raised to believe in.

  The image in my mind was him manifested as a fleshly person before me, and me armed with the sharpest of long knives. I literally screamed at the top of lungs as I slashed and stabbed, over, and over, and over...

  Ya, I'd invite him to a party. One he would never leave.

  I must say that this hatred erupted in me many times, and it gave me a new understanding of the blind rage that people experience where they may kill others. I don't condone their acts, but I understand what they felt at the time. I guess I have the JW religion to thank for that.

  Also during one of these explosive moments was a first sense of a beautiful, totally nonjudgmental, stillness-of-consciousness that silently watched. That which was screaming and the silence upon which the scream needed for its existence, were one in the same. It's impossible to explain.

  What if JWs are right?!?

  i know this is a pointless question, but what if this happened:.

  you came home from work one day, sat down, and turned on the tv.

  there is a sudden announcement that the un has banned all religion.

  It's quite alright to ask a hypothetical question.

  If the JW's had it right, I would raise my hand and say: "Me! Me! Kill me first!!! As I could never ever worship such a murderous, vengeful, god-forsaken piece of excrement as the tribal war god Jehovah. EVER!

  i have noticed something interesting at work recently.. i don't want to go into too much detail, but our new owners have introduced a customer contract that is so one sided that it is technically unethical although not legally.

  i don't like it and won't sell it.. i asked the jw's where i work what they thought of this contract.. to my surprise only 2 are troubled by the nature of this contract (both young and quite wishy washy in the "truth").. the others didn't seem concrened at all and would be happy to tie customers into it, after it all secures the company's finances.. the interesting thing is almost all the "worldly" members of staff feel the same way as as me.. i thought my reservations were due to my jw upbringing - obviously not!.

  Lozi,

  May I suggest that you begin to take the time to just sit alone and be still. Concentrate on what it is to breath, on what it is to sit in a chair, on what it is to feel life around you. This may help ground you and open you, so that meeting with a good therapist will be extra beneficial for you had you not primed the pump.

  when we were jws we were told that death is an enemy but if we were faithful to jehovah, we would be alive always in his eyes.

  death wasn't something to be feared.

  we were only "sleeping".. do you fear death at this point in your life?

  Religion, is a concept of the mind. The mind is too limited to know the infinity and rawness of present moment reality, so it tells itself stories.

  Religion= the minds feeble attempts of understanding what it can not understand, an thus it makes up a story which it subtracts from and adds to over the course of thousands of years.

  So similarities are to be expected when you know what your dealing with....an evolutionary comic book reality.

  So the nest step is: why fuck with stories when reality is here right now staring you in the face??????????????????
