When we were JWs we were told that death is an enemy but if we were faithful to Jehovah, we would be alive always in his eyes. Death wasn't something to be feared. We were only "sleeping".

I actually have to agree with Snowbird on this one. Once you're dead, we'll find out if there's an afterlife, sleep, or resurrection. It's the getting there that I hope is quick and painless. I've seen both my parents suffer into death. :(

I watched and nursed my mother through dementia.
Wasn't pretty.

Not fearful of it, just not looking for it to happen anytime soon.
Still too much to do.

JWs are consumed NOT with this life but the afterlife. Too bad to live 80 plus years and never feeling fulfilled now!
