I can't help but think how different apostates are to the ideas that are drummed up the literature. When i was indoctrinated my idea of an apostate was a person who had resorted to mud slinging due to been kicked out as an unrepentant sinner. Yet in reality they can be the very ones been invited to witness gatherings.

Like the catholic church the sex abuse cases certainly hurt them and shook up their operations but it hasn't finnished them. So to,will be the case with the WBTS.

Oh I didnt realize was there orders issued from on high to get rid of all the old books. I was a bit annoyed the other day when I found out that my mother had gone through the garage getting ride of all the old books. I said she shouldn't of done that because some of thos old books can be worth some money now.

It wouldn't surprise me if in the area where I live if 2 congregations get merged into 1. There has already been a couple of territory reshuffle over the last 10 years to redistribute publishers to stop a congregation finishing.

Surprisingly as speaking on behalf of myself and others that I know. I have yet to have one elders visit after a year and a half ago of not attending. I personally know of a PO of a cong who walked and only 3 could be bothered to contact him. I think the idea of been hounded and hounded is a myth. Never has such lack of concern been do welcomed. Do it right and you will be surprised how quickly they will forget.

The damage to their reputation and fear of members walking out on them should be of greater concern to them than any money settlements. If I was to show any of my relatives that court document about a hirachy of a religion intimidating victims not to go to police. They would be in disbelief. Sadly though they have got no idea of what's going on and will probably remain that way.

I can't help but think if you were an in house bethel lawyer sitting in the KH listening to how much love / openness and transparency / accountability the organisation displays as been the one true religion. Then the next day going to court throwing some legal loop hole and a sex abuse case to get them off it.When you knew that the offender had left a multitude of victims and that the policies and procedures of that organisation had aided him. I don't know how they can go around knocking on doors with all this on their mind. So what would you do if you were a lawyer.

Jw gone bad = Wt is just such a hard nut to crack. For the money and legal resources they have at their disposal it makes it very easy for them to steam roll.

What ever is going on and their reasons for doing it, I can certainly smell a rat. I sincerely believe for the money they have got, and for the fraction of abuse cases that can be successfully brought against them, this won't spell the end for them.
