Flipper = that was a very high profile case here in New Zealand. Was on the news for weeks, and there have been documentaries about him. I have read in the paper of 3 others cases involving sex abuse with witnesses.

Chile and the flag September 18

I'm going to tell you that no kingdom hall or witness would display a flag in their window with out getting their arses kicked by the GB. These idiots who go around putting the flag in the KH window are only impressing themselves. Those stupid enough to fall for this need to ask "isn't it funny on the day that a KH decides to display a flag, that an apostate with a camera just happens to be walking past". Coincidence? Is the Watchtower a secret society?

Is the watchtower a secret society. Well let me put it this way I was a dubbie for just under 40 years of my life, and it's only been in the last year and a half of awakening that i learnt more about that religion than I ever did in the kingdom hall. I remember when first finding out on the internet I was just so shocked I immediately went into disbelief. Even now as I look back I'm just amazed at how in dark I was. I feel foolish that i spent years trying to justify my concerns. Unfortunately my story is not an isolated case.

Paranoia of today's WT study!

using old biblical references just so as to prevent anyone from using critical thinking skills and analysing the "truth".. then using incorrect, leading reasoning to paint any who "think outside of the box" of the org as "apostate".... pure manipulation!.

Hard to believe a few years ago they where slamming them. I remember a talk at the assembly that had the title "preoccupation with time consuming gadgets". Well I don't know if that were the exact words, but that was the basic theme of the talk. Any help someone on the title.

we did not fade, we just didn't believe it anymore, told our families so and left.
obviously, big drama in our family after this, messy feelings, etc.

What I have found works best for the witnesses is showing them relevant news articles e.g child abuse. It's neutral and I just leave it there. The absolute worst thing you can do is take her directly to an apostate web site because that is just going to close her mind.
