  orlando, fla. -- a central florida woman was fired from her job after eating "unclean" meat and violating a reported company policy that pork and pork products are not permissible on company premises, according to local 6 news.

  In my current cong (of which I haven't been in over a year and a half) there were basically no stupid rules. If you could remove the WTBTS it is a great place to hang out. And several of the coolest people in the circuit have just moved in making it even better! But alas how do you get over 1914 / Generation / 586 v 607 / Blood / Disfellowshipping / Loyalty over All to the WTBTS / ?

  Can't do it, even for people I love and like.

  Please help me understand the differences.....

  i?ve noticed something of a discrepancy and would like some clarification.

  as much as it appears that the wts controls the jws through their published, written word, there also appears to be a fair amount of difference in how that word is applied across the various congregations, not to mention in other countries.

  some members here say this or that happened in their old congregations, and then others say that it was different where they attended.

  Yes, as you have observed, elders play a very large part in establishing the "tone" of a congregation. Those with strong personalities and views can shape a congregation in a specific direction. And again, as you have noticed, areas such as association, dress, grooming etc are the areas where congregations vary the most. Even how to handle areas of "loyalty" as some are very hardline and others are "live and let live".

  This generation has by no means passed away.

  just seen on the british news a commemoration of the soldiers who fought in wwi.. the generation has by no means passed away.

  there are 23 old british soldiers remaining, although sadly only 4 were able to attend the commemoration at the cenotaph.

  the youngest is still only 104.. so there is hope yet that the prophecy may still be fullfilled.. has to be quick though boys !!.

  at the convention last weekend the wt article about blood the fellowing remarks were made: .

  your conscience is not involved concerning the four main components of blood.. your conscience is involved concerning the fragments of the four main components of blood.. the watchtower magazine gives us a nice frame work at page ** what makes clear what we have to do concerning medical treatment.

  are we not happy the brothers make such a clear frame work for us?.
