My workmate used to come to work sometimes in his PJ's - you know the kind with the big fly in the front - and a tee shirt. And he would go about campus and fix PC's.
I banned him from doing that.

I think I did something very "sick" and embarassing

this time what happened is too embarassing to share, i think.
most people would probably tell me i am gross, too, and most of you would probably not even want to hear it so i guess that i am better off not sharing it here.

IN Between: Welcome. This is a good place to rant. When upset don't make decisions that can effect you forever - like DA'ing - or at least that's my suggestion.
It take a couple of years to have the FOG lift and it appears that is has happened. Eventually they will mean less and less to you as you fade deeper and make other friends and root yourself into a new life that is actually your own. -

by candidlynuts ini'm irked... i had just got my two grown kids to start associating with me again.. well they let me take them shopping... anyway.. i had arranged a lunch with them and all was ok... then they had their district convention the weekend before the lunch was scheduled and they got back all fired up to shun me again..lunch canceled.
evidently there is a lot of warnings about associating with your mother at the dc.. i'm this close to writing a da letter.. i mean ..why not if i'm gonna be shunned like an evildoer anyway?.
the distorted view of love that the society promotes is sickening and really should be exposed as the evil that it is.

CandyN - I'm really sorry and can imagine just how frustrating that would be. Let's just go to NY and burn the sons a bitches out! Seriously for them to have more control over the minds (not hearts) of your children that they shun you is disgraceful.

Ended up buying the Elantra GT. , but after trying the automatic in the GT Hatchback (Saab look alike) I drove an hour to buy the same car in a manual transmission.
So for comparison perposes: Hatchback, leather, air, CD, Trip Computer, Cruise, Manual 5 Speed, etc etc $13,393
So I call it my cancer car, because if I'm around when it's paid for I'm "out of the woods" -

by morwen inya know... i'm a bit amazed at times at how utterly out of touch with reality jw's can be.
here's a little bit of a background of what's been going on....
i've been having an on going issue with my jw family about my husband & i(and our 4 young children) no longer going to meetings and us having questions/problems with this religion.we are not df'd nor da'd (at this point) but have not been to a meeting in about 7 months and have been inactive for probably 3-4 years now.we haven't lived near my parents for several years so they have been a little "in the dark" so to speak as to us being inactive but we kinda were given a bit of "lee-way" since 5 yrs.

Truly the heart, mind and soul of a person warped in her thinking by this cult. Think of her as being mentally ill and unable to prevent herself from doing some of the things she does.
Of course that is asking you to be not just a bigger person a HUGE person as you face what your family is going to do to you and themselves and they march along to what the WT has drummed into their heads. She thinks she is pleasing God by doing this act of loyalty to him.
You though are saving your children from a life in a cult, while at the same still raising them with morals and ethics and being there and loving them no matter what they might do by way of mistakes (rather than judging and running like JW parents).
And it's great that you and your husband are on this road together.
And I'm very sorry that this road has taken this turn for you. -

I was never mad a Johnny as the Sox never really wanted him at that money - they had Coco lined up all along.
What I CAN'T GET OVER is trading my almost favorite pitcher - Bronson Aryoyo for a BACKUP OUTFIELDER! For craps sake what was Theo thinking and now look, Willy Mo Pena is on the DL and Aryoyo is 9-3 with a 2.47 ERA and we are picking up pitchers off the scrap pile to make starts.
Honestly how do you trade a guy who signed low just to stay in Boston, who is never injured, always gives you 6 or 7 innings, loves the town, team and the people - for an outfielder when you have them stacked up in the corner.
It's like trading a Bishop (starting pitcher) for a pawn (backup outfielder)
I'm pissed off over this every single day of my life.
