hello all.... i am new here so i figured i'd make a quick post introducing myself and giving a brief intro as to who i am and what i'm here for... as well as to hopefully meet others.. so, i made a profile and in it i gave a pretty detailed explanation as to my intent here and exactly why i decided to participate in the boards.

in case you don't read it, i'll give a brief summary.

Welcome to this forum. You are obviously a truth searcher. That is admirable and shows that you are an intelligent person. But if you really want to find the truth, I think the first task is to make an introspection of yourselves. This meaning that you´ll have to find out your motive and how your basic knowledge of moral, bible issues, understanding of philosophical ideas came about.

You are brought up in Columbus Ohio. What if you were born in Calcutta India? or Bangkok? Or South Africa? Would you have been a Christian then? Would you ever notice that 1 billion Christians believe (questionable), that some old rolls/codex written in ancient greek or Hebrew letters are THE WORD FROM GOD. (Or at least some of our interpretations)….

It looks like you think that the Bible itself….can deliver the water of truth, if it is only explained to you. So I suggest that you take up serious Bible studies and take a few courses with real Bible scholars. I can recommend Prof. Bart Ehrman, from Chapel Hill, N.Carolina. He can add a lot of knowledge to your Bible questions. He is specialist in “new testam” historical facts, and it astonishing that very few from those who think they have the “KNOWLEDGE” never refer to Bart…. Look him up in youtube…

Having a man with obviously a mental capacity of a 13-15 years of teenager boy age, with his finger on the A-bomb button, scares me the hell, I can´t sleep at night. It´s even worse than if some GB members should be elected to the precedence of the US.

Sex is not a sin. Sex is something necessary to keep life going on. All creatures do have sex. Some are homosexual, some transgender, some Bisexual? There is nothing wrong with sex, unless your sex -desires hurt or harm your partner. I agree that some sex acts ex. pedophilia, violent Sadism, rape and so forth will harm your partner….therefore not acceptable. But as long as both or more agree fully….we shouldn´t interfere with what other people do in their privacy…

I want to understand violence

Violence is just a part of life. A part of life as, love, hate, emotions, feelings, sex, eating, and sleeping. You can see violence in almost every creature. Creatures like viruses living on cells, snakes eating mouse, insects sucking blood they need to lay their eggs in. Mammals hunting other mammals. When it comes to humans, violence is not only a food and digestions matter. It is a part of dominating other humans specially the females. Even among monkeys, apes and some other mammals, it is important, for especially male to foresee, that his DNA passes on to new generations. They could kill any other male that challenge their status, and this has been done in the whole world ever since life begun millions of years ago. In fact some hormones (testosterone, adrenaline, nor-adrenaline) in your and my body trigger violence from us just to protect ourselves from being the victim of other creature’s violent behavior. So violence is a selves going clock (a perpetum mobile).

I my selves has a small sheep farm, and I know that when a wolf pack comes along, they will start having fun whit my sheep’s. That is to kill as many of them they can without eating anything. This till they notice that I have entered the field with a shotgun. Then they disappear quickly to my neighbors sheep fields……

I myself don’t eat sheep meat. But I can do with a small piece of salmon….

What is the Education Level of the Governing Body members?

i would love to compile a list of the education obtained by the governing body members both past and present.

can anyone provide any information to get me started?.

it still amazes me they think they can translate ancient languages with an 8th grade education.

About the translation ability…You must understand that they have the wholly spirit that helps them…

Just the same as Josef Smith LDS, had the angel Morony and Urim and Tummim, helping him to translate the gold plates at Commora Hill. Unfortunately The Gold Plates disappeared when asked for. at the moment i dont beleive in anything.

im pretty much an open book, but my critical mind is very alert to bullshit.

but anyway i decided to re-read the bible with a non jw filter.. i researched online first which is supposed to be the best translation out there.

The idea that I am God, has occured a few times. But The ones that got that idea are very easily disclosured, they simply cannot perform the miracles that goes along with beeing God!
