do i know you???
by in a new york bethel minute inwhat i was thinking about is, since most of us that post on jwd remain annonymous, i wonder how many of us know someone else that posts on this site, but dont know that they post on this site... i keep hearing of new apostates (people that are aquaintances of mine) that are popping up... and i notice that a few people here are from ontario, canada.
too bad i may never know who you are, even though i may know who you are (get it???!!!).
it really spells out to me just how afraid most of us are.

Which dog breed do you like?

we have 3 great pyrenees dogs.
the oldest is 11yrs and the youngest is 4yrs old.

We have two pit bulls! I have raised them for years. They love the kitty, bunny (who is a loose house guest sharing the kitty's litter pan, and sleeps in the dog food dish, during the winter!), and most recently they are quite intrigued and a little afraid of the Pekin Ducklings (12 days old)! Did I EVER! Just graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie NY WITH HONORS (only 3 days after turning 47 and on CRUTCHES no less after breaking two toes!) ! I received an AS and a NYS Paralegal Certificate just 3 years before this amazing accomplishment too! It is NEVER too late to seize control over our lives-one woman in a philosophy class was EIGHTY-SEVEN! Now THAT is inspirational. But to dispel all excuses of why we CAN'T go and just DO IT is the most rewarding and healing journey out of the organization. For anyone still fumbling over the reasons that keep you from doing it, I can tell you honestly that the only thing keeping you from it is yourself!

Divorce rate of JW's less than the rest of the "world"??
by Samdownunder inthroughout my teen years when my doubt was high and my hesitancy to commit was even higher, my father always told me that no life in the world could ever compare to life in the "truth".
he said the peace and joy jw's experience in their lives is better than anything i could find out there in "satans world".
he also constantly threw out the statistic( as he is a bullshit artist) that witness marriages have less than a 5% divorce rate, as compared to 50% outside the "truth".

EVERY person among my peer group in the organization, of the era (born in 57), and area (Staten Island NY) we grew up in married very young. EVERY one of us divorced. Hmmm....

by my-journey ini was just curious as to the aim of this website?
i thought it was a discussion board for those interested in/ for jehovah's witnesses, but it seems like you're all former jehovah's witnesses?
so is this site just to bash jehovah's witnesses?
