  Why are you here?

  proplog2 left a post the other day saying that they are "cured" and therefore leaving the site.. this got me to wondering...... why are we here?.

  i tend to think that most of us are "cured", i think many of us have put the jw experience behind us.. personally, i am here for several reasons.. 1. to keep updated on what is going on within the organization, as it interests me.

  i have several friends and my son still involved, and i need to know the latest.. 2. i like many of the people here.

  Why I am here? Good question!!

  I am here for healing and to heal others who have or are in similiar circumstances. Its about giving and receiving gifts.

  Recovery is a healing process. I can trust it, even when I don't understand it. I am right where I need to be in this process. I am going through exactly what I need to experience. And where I am going is better than any place before.

  I don't see myself cured from my experience as a jw. Its part of my history. To come to a point I can say to myself that I have grown from the experience and to contiune to grow. For I find it scarey of being stuck in that crap and not move on.

  That was the main reason I came to this site to find ways to take care of myself. I will know in time when its time for me to move on.

  the european union commissioners have announced that an agreement has been reached to adopt english as the preferred language for european communications, rather than german, which was the other possibility.

  as part of the negotiations, the british government conceded that english spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five-year phased plan for what will be known as euroenglish (euro for short).

  in the first year, "s" will be used instead of the soft "c".

  Are You A Happier Person Than When You Were In The "Truth"?

  Happiness never came to me until I learned the secret of making it for myself, of finding an inner glow that somehow made some right. Happiness comes from my attitudes. To create it for myself.

  Happiness is a feeling that comes from an inner contentment, comes from my feeling pleased with myself.

  Negativism is an overall feeling, an over all attitude. It was an attitude that dominate me to the exclusion of all other feelings. In my childhood, the experiences with jw's and my jw marriage. Negative emotions destroys only myself. The commitment I made for myself is changing and working with my attitudes constantly build positive images of myself. Comes from believing with self. To accept the role of responsibility for my actions and emotions. It's an ongoing process to seek the balance within.

  I can say I am a much happier person today.

  Yes I want to be creamated and spread my ashes on the Mississippi River here in Minneapolis. So I can be with the water spirits.

  There's a law of not letting a whole body float down river. So I have to turn to ashes!!
