Criticism of Bush from ME
by Yerusalyim inas you all know, i'm a supporter of bush...and the war against terror, and the war in iraq.
here's my issues with the bush administration thus far.. prescription drug benefit: quite simply....we can't afford it.
public health care: not that bush supports this (yet) for all you proponents of public health care...let me give you an example of how this will work.

Pat Tillman
by Yerusalyim ineither i've missed it or we haven't talked about the death of former nfl player turned army ranger specialist pat tillman in afghanistan.. this guy represents what's right about america.
he had money and fame and wanted to give back to the country after 9-11. i'm proud of people like him...and there are thousands of them here in the military...people who left homes and families...and sometimes good jobs...to do something important.. on a side note....i was worried that with as hard as we're driving the force that retention in the military was going to be a problem...thus far this year the army has exceeded it's goal of retention by a couple of 100 soldiers...the marines....have retained 90% of the goal for the year in the first six months.
these are dedicated people we're talking about here.

I'm Back/Stations of the Cross
by Yerusalyim ini'm back,.
i received several notes asking where i've been this last week...for those that noticed and were concerned...thanks...nothing bad happened...i was in the field with my class evaluating them on their common leader combat skills ( i always enjoy my time out there).
i ended up getting bum rushed by the class at about 3:30 am and duct taped to a tree...then they posed for a picture with me...i'll post it when i get a copy because i enjoy self depricating humor...and...it's a sign of affection from the class.. stations of the cross,.

Mussings on Society
by Yerusalyim inopening myself up to a lot of criticism...but here goes.. i guess i'm getting more cynical...and losing hope in society in general...here's what bothers me.. when i was a kid back in the 1970's i could walk out the door in the morning...and not come home until supper...and i was safe.
those days are long gone.
as i've stated before...society has become oversexualized...and has lost it's moral compass.

What I Believe
by Yerusalyim ini've had a few pm's asking about my personal religious beliefs...since my political views are pretty well known.. essentially, i'm a dyed in the wool catholic.
i respect and admire the pope...and disagree with him from time to time.. i believe the bible is the inspired word of god...but it's neither a history book, nor a science book.
everything in it is written through the hindsight of faith.
