They have gotten pretty good at passing off pretty much whatever they want to change as "new light". I don't see why they couldn't do this to get rid of some of the more restrictive/dangerous doctrine. Let em keep the paradise earth, no hell and stuff like that but say they got some "new light" that negates shunning, blood transfusions and maybe allows some holidays cause it sucks being a dub kid w/o them.

What would we like them to do? What would we do in their shoes?
by ThomasCovenant ina lot of the discussion on this site is about how do we go about trying, if at all, to show friends and family the truth about the 'truth'.

Lets TALK COLON CANCER (join in)
by DannyHaszard insaid to be the #2 cancer killer in the west pre-cancer growths start out very slowly takes years to evolve, but good news,as the colon/large bowel has an egress to facilitate exams and most cancers occur in the last end of the pipe the rectum so it's easy to detect.
almost a taboo topic,it seems anything goes with explicit talk of sexual matters but folks are squeamish when discussing bm (bowel movements) as a 28 year patient ravaged with a diseased bowel from the auto immune disease ulcerative colitis i have lost my bashfulness.
i have had countless colonoscopy .they can make you so relaxed with a little morphine that i once fell asleep.

Both my mom and aunt died from colon cancer so I have a 1 in 3 chance of getting it. Had a colonoscopy right after my mom died, probably time to get another.

Do the things you enjoy doing and if you meet someone then at least you will have that in common.
As to when, only you know but personally I enjoyed being alone for awhile. Get a shower massage.

Beautiful! I've always thought a snake would be an interesting pet. Spiders are the ones I don't understand people keeping as pets!

As we grow older
by greendawn inas time passes and you grow older and more mature how does your life or your outlook on life and one or other issue change?
i was thinking yesterday how silly it was to fall in love with a girl, focus exclusively on her and run the risk of serious disappointment and trauma if she left when there were so many other women in the world.
when you had no marriage or children to worry about.

I think I've realised that being attached to people or things too much results in heartache.
No being overly attached to the wrong people or things is what results in heartache.

If some doubting Witness comes on here and sees a bunch of people fawning over astrology (something they've been taught to view as demonized), what are they going to do? They're going to run for the hills. All of that the WTS has told them about the internet will be instantly confirmed. Put that together with the facts that astrology is a bunch of hooey, and that this is a forum with a strong slant towards debate, and I don't think that the reaction here was that out of line.
