  i remember when they would discourage kids from taking colors or coloring books to the meetings.

  so i thought ok, i will give my kid a pen and my book of bible stories to keep him busy.

  then they said that was a bad idea because he might write on the furniture and it wasnt good to teach them to write on the wbt publications.

  I cant believe that elder asked you if you knew how to smack your baby.

Then they said that was a bad idea because he might write on the furniture and it wasnt good to teach them to write on the WBT publications. I gave him a pencil and paper, then they said its better for him to just listen to the meetings so he wouldnt be distracted. I ask you how was I supposed to keep the 2 year old quiet? Because the second he needed something, and I had to get up people would roll their stupid eyes! This buisness of treating babies like they are supposed to act like adults is messed up.

  How did you all keep your babies still and quiet during meetings?

  during the month of december, the usual offer is the "my book of bible stories.

  well, i was paired up with an elderly sister.

  after presenting the book she concluded by saying: "this would make a nice christmas gift"...i almost fell off the porch.

  That also reminded me of another elderly sister who was complaining about the last person she went out in service with. She said they had bad breath, so she asked if they had crap on their shoes. They didnt!

  lol That reminds of me of when I went out in service with an elderly sister. The householder was sick or something and the sister said before we left "good luck".

  It was funny as well.

  Since you are talking about Funerals, I remember when Selena died. She was a Tejano spanish singer. Anyways her family who were raised in the "Truth" inisisted that she have two services one Catholic and One JW. I remember when the elders gave the talk at her service it caused a huge buzz. Some frowned on it, others thought it was "giving a good witness". I didnt care either way, but It shows how everybody has their own opionions on it.

  a positive message for those who are feeling down.

  after a year of being out of the 'mind prison', things seem to be moving in the right direction for me.

  i've met the people and am doing things that will make a real difference in my life.

  I wasted my college and party years in the borg. I have had little to no relashionship experience. I have 4 children from ages 12 to 4 mos.

  Out of the borg I have found this beautiful relationship. I didnt need "Experience" He has fun teaching me and I had fun learning. We made the 2 most beautiful baby girls in my world. Its never too late to go to college or to PARTY!!!!! I am right on track now and as long as I have a breath in me I intend to live my life to the fullest. I WILL start classes in a few months.

  a couple of childhood friends of mine, henry caban and alberto caban, both bethelites at one time, were said to be going to law school compliments of the wtbts.

  is it true that they put some 'cream of the crop' bethelites through college depending on what field the society needs?

  lol No I am not a spy.

  I was just wondering because I noticed someone mention their husband and they both come on here and post. Sorry if it was rude. I met my current hubby online! Love him lots. He doesnt come here, and sometimes he gets paranoid thinking I might go back to the borg because of making freinds on this board. I have assured him that would be impossible, guess he gets thrown off by the name of the website. hehe

  My first name is Stefanie. Guess I should have said in my original post I was just want to become aquainted by first or nick names.
