JWs and Stronger Marriages?
by Pubsinger ina bit of a follow on from the "honesty" thread.. another claim that jws make is that they have stronger marriages and are less likely to divorce.. try writing down all the jw couples that you know of that have divorced.. there are bonus points for those who didnt make 2yrs!.
i think you will be shocked at the number you can come up with.
we came up with 60 couples in less than 20mins.

What a wonderful world it would be...
by joannadandy init just dawned on me...you can't give someone the finger if you are wearing mittens.. this may be of little importance to some of you in warm areas, but this bothers/intrigues me.
if i wanted to flip a bird while wearing mittens the person i am sending it to would just think i am angrily waving at them, and then the padded wagon of doom would come.. would more mittens in our society qwell road rage?.
i was also pondering skipping...i haven't had a good skip in ages!.

My last child was a great skipper. He skipped everywhere he went. It was the cutest thing I'd ever seen and he always made me smile. I skipped as a kid, too, and I even skipped a little not too long ago, when I knew nobody was watching. I got the same happy feeling. Great post, Joanna!!!
Not a person given to flippin people off too often and living in So. CA, can't comment on the mitten idea, although it would have an impact in colder climates!

Yeah, add me to the stats. I married two jw men (divorced, remarried and divorced the second one). First hand, the marriages were not strong, not strong at all.
Dottie: Hey, that's my name, too! Nice to meet ya.

Hey, WT, gotta put my two cents worth in!
I smile when I am outside far away, totally surrounded by natural things, feeling the wind on me, seeing the light play on everything.
I smile when I am swimming. The coolness all around me, like I'm in my mom's womb, using my whole body, being one with nature.
I smile when I think of my true friends, friends like Jim TX, and how we are growing and becoming our own people. So many of my friends have the ability to get me laughing so hard that I pee. I love being happy with my friends.
I smile when I stroke my pussy and she purrs...

JW's Are People Just Like You and Me
by Sentinel inhello all my new friends here,.
when i disassociated myself back in 1981, there were only just a couple instances afterwards, where the jdubs came to my door in the service of their ministry.
during those times, i would never ever answer the door.

Karen, thank you for your great post. I walked away four years ago, and although I have had several visits, I have not opened my door. Hopefully one day I will have the loving kindness you showed to this lady. With Dateline and the other bad press jws are receiving, maybe more will be open to kind words from a very happy exjw!
Hugs to you,
Wind

JW ELDER MURDER
by crawdad2 inhere's how they do it.......... they get a victim who committed a small sin,,,,,,, kissing .....or bigger,... actually touching.......,,,,,, then they milk them for all the juicy details........every bit of it.......all of it.......then they inform them that,,, "if they disfellowship them" ..... they will "die" if armageddon comes '"before" they get re-instated'....then the victims beg for their life....... yes,... they beg for their life.........
-
Windchaser
Yes, you beg and cry and practically get down on your hands and knees for forgiveness. "PLEASE DON'T DISFELLOWSHIP ME!!!! PLEASE!" And, then the scum of the earth, who probably abuse their own children and do all manner of sin, look down their pasty noses at you and say, "You are disfellowshipped..." Been there, done that.
