We don't have to, and from reading so many posts in the past week, we don't want or agree with your standards of excellence.
Some of your arguments make sense, your grasp of law in ok, and your knowledge keeps up with ours.
However, speaking for myself, this is not a Debater's Club.
If debate is your arena - fine. This is a forum, not an arena. Perhaps your weapons of sarcasm, dry wit, condescension, denigrating, arrogance, and the incessant use of quotes could find a better, more deserving home for your skilled marksmanship, elsewhere.
You have brought us to angry discussions for an entire week. Why? Is that your plan? Who are you and what is your background? I have asked before and you refused to enlighten us on any detail of yourself. Why?
Andyman said you were really a nice person - why must you provoke animosity with everyone you reply to? Do you treat your family, your congregation, your dog, this way? Why have you targeted us? We did not ask you to improve us.
Does our use of emotion, opinion, humor, poetry, discussion, so irritate your sense of righteousness that you feel compelled to "set us straight?" Why? Do we make you that insecure? That's not our intention. However, you do make, at least me, feel insecure - and I resent you for that. A true Friend would not do that to another friend.
If you read some of my posts, I usually resort to humor or sarcasm, but I don't think I offend too often.
You offend almost every time you post. In all earnestness, please stop - you are not presenting yourself as a friend at all, but as an opposer.

I have never - ever - heard of a man anywhere paying for his wife to have a massage, and then taking the kids to the park so SHE could have time with her friends! My honey's a good one, but.........

I do understand and agree with all of your points.
Maybe we don't argue as well as Friend, but when did the Best Debater have anything to do with knowing and loving God? That's what our religion is supposed to do, enable us to love God as He is in the Bible, and His son Jesus. And yes, it's time to critique our own religion, just like they say we should, and draw our own conclusions for our own lives.
I hadn't thought about your thought on CT Russell. I had read where he referred to himself as the Seventh Messenger, but didn't know who were the first six. 1,2,3,4,5,6,....7? Sounds successive to me. Obviously not through the apostolic succession as taught by the Catholic church....but succession nonetheless. Or is that old lite now? Darn, it's hard to keep them lightbulbs turned to the right power!

An interesting observation I might make? We always say "people will DIE at Armageddon." True enough - but that's a cleaned up comment. Such as dogs left at the pound will die after 14 days. Do the dogs just to choose to lay in their pens and die? No, humans kill them.
Do people choose to die at Armageddon? No, God is going to kill them and their children.
I think the tendency of persons, particularily in our politically correct world, is to use "cleaned up" language. Spousal abuse (husband/wife beating) child abuse (rape, incest, physical, emotional, psychological) die at Armageddon (God is going to kill you).
That is what we teach, these people's lives are at stake. The PR people won't let them say God is going to kill them all.
This is only an implied statement, but I was always given the impression when I asked that the retarded, insane, senile, etc. will not be killed (God's discretion). Without sounding too sarcastic, wouldn't this show that JW's are not the only ones who will survive Armageddon?
