Maintaining Faith In God As An Ex-JW

as i fade further from the jws, i'm finding it increasingly hard to maintain faith in god.

i've been exploring many alternatives from atheism, agnostic, apathetic, pagan, and satanism (not devil worship, but the promotion of self-indulgence) to name a few.

i'm thoroughly intrigued to learn how those of you who remained christian managed to maintain your faith in god and christ, especially after enduring all the lies that we've been told about them.

This was troubling to me as well. I also realized a few days into my re-re-re-re-re-reading of the Gospel that I was doing something wrong. I kept trying to seperate the OT from the NT. They are not to be seperated as they are one book and Jesus himself said something to the effect that he who has seen me has seen the father. Jesus quoted from the OT so no doubt he was in harmoney with it. That was a little difficult to grasp. So I prayed and prayed for understanding as the bible directs.

I hope you do the same. Read the bible as a whole realizing that there is no seperation in scripture besides that which man has made (OT vs NT).

Re-read the bible/ pray for an answer to your questions as the bible instructs, then make your decisions accordingly

Anyone else work from home?

if so, how are you enjoying it compared to maybe sitting in an office or going outside the home for work.

i use to work in the office environment but after starting up my own thing with the with we eventually got office space.

then as we grew we have decided to leave the office space for the employees and work from home.. i am sure it is not as exciting working from home but the wife disagrees.

I do not have any in regards to working. I am not able to sit down and just work. I also do not necessarily require 8 hours of work a day so me putzing around is kinda acceptable. I just feel at times I should be doing something. LOL. Then again maybe I should just be happy that I can take time for myself to just fart around at times.

It was always my wifes dream as well. She is driven like a beast. Prior to this I worked as a software engineer and it was hell. I would work 10-12 hours a day and longed for the time I could work less. Now that I can I feel sorta guilty. Maybe I should just stop feeling guilty LOL

went to court today for a speeding ticket i got.

i was clocked more than twice the posted speed limit.

it very well could have been my licence.

Iamallcool I seem to work longer hours and get aboput the same amount of work done which is sad. I actuially creating a legendary workstation for myself so now I waste time tinkering and playing when I should be working. My wife on the other hand seems to be faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar more productive than I am.

I am thinking of going back in a few days a week just to test the theory.

I read CofC from cover to cover. Pretty good read

ISofCF i got about 60 pages in but my fire for that particular book just wasnt there. It appeared to Christiany(not a real word I know).

I will say that I do love the writing style of Mr. Franz

The organization was built on a backbiting / arguing / crtiticizing drunk. Of course, you are not aware because you are not capable of doing any research that doesn't come from a CD or jw.org.

I still would like to know if you Stand for Pure Worship... have you confessed to the brothers in your hall that you have committed a judiciary offense by spending time and openly communicating with known disfellowshipped people as well as ap[ostates. You are hindering the flow of Jehovah's spirit within your own congregation. All the issues that are going on and all the blessings being deferred from your congfregation are YOUR FAULT. You are a hindrance to Jehovah's sopirit flowing freely. If you are not condfessing this sin Jehovah will not listen to your [pprayers so essentially you are not a part of "The Truth" until you confess.
