I was watching cartoons on CNN and they reported that the captured Taliban being held in Cuba have thier own Islamic Chaplain, provided by no less than the U.S. Army. Since they have a little time to reflect on being naughty boys, I was wondering if they grasp the great irony of themselves having to listen to a different brand of Islam, versus making others do so. Another perk apparently is they get the morning call for prayer over PA system. Kind of like if you could keep several elders, ms, COs and DOs in little boxes and make them listen to Crisis of Conscience on a loud speaker...

why so much?
by getingout inangry towards jehovah.. i understand the angry towards the jehovah's witnesses.
i carry hard feelings towards them and their teachings but, i have been seeing many negative attitudes against jehoavh himself.

I think perhaps you are missing many of the points that come up in the forum almost hourly. Consider how most Americans feel about the Taliban and other extremist groups. There is no condemnation of the world of Islam, but a pointed disgust for what people do in the name of thier respective diety. As well, one would also have to believe Jehovah is a living entity and not merely the construct of a bunch of bible thumping freaks who have went way off the deep end and rule with a heavy hand from New York.

one time i had been approached by the elders concerning this matter.
they asked me if i planned to cut my hair and progress in the truth and get baptised.

I don't think they will ban the Internet. Much like the TV, the Internet is not something they can't get away from, and seeing that they already use the Internet, it isn't very likely to go away in JWland. My uncle, RIP....did lots of witnessing online and even recorded his time, because he was not able to get out of a wheelchair, or his house. The elders thought it was a great idea. Too bad the demons can't really reach and and strangle the occasional Net savvy JW....

they neglected to show me thier time cards, which may require committee action, but a good time was had by all.
we talked into the night, went out on the town, had yummy food, and mostly basked in all the bad association.
