Watchtower In The Window

every time i see this new "logo", jw.org, i'm taken back to the days in the late 60's and early 70's when we used to put a watchtower in the rear window of our cars when on the way to our vacation..er, i mean, the district convention (that's what they called it back then).

then, some years later we were "admonished" to not put the watchtower in the rear window of our cars while on the way to the dc.. how long before they council the "friends" to not bring "undo" attention to the organization?.

i think this is a hush hush topic among jws but i remember years ago at an assembly i saw two sisters(i am only assuming they were jws they could have been studies or relatives of jws) walking arm and arm like a married couple.

some of the jws looked at them like they had horns.

some of the jws moms were covering their small children's eyes and those two women were stared at like they had the plague.

That's because there is an unspoken rule that men and women must remain totally segregated within the congregation. A man or woman freely conversing with each other are only a few seconds away from mattress dancing after all in the sex mad world of the JW's. After all, better to have people assume one is lesbian or homosexual than to think that a man and woman are fornicating like rabbits, y'know.

Skinny dipping in the new order?

the jw's are quick to tell you that when jehovah has finished kicking the ass of those who do not acknowledge the teachings of the watchtowers governing body in new york state, that those who survive will live forever in a restored paradise on earth.

the same goes for those who are resurrected during the 1000 year reign of jesus and survive satan being let loose "for a little while" at the end.. they are also quick to tell you that everything will be just as it was for adam and eve before the latter decided she needed a fruit fix and then got her hubby high on it as well.. and when you view the illustrations in their publications showing what they view this paradise to be, it shows a world of lush color.

the deep greens of all the trees and grass, the clean blue skies, puffy white clouds and tables covered in a plethora of fresh fruits and vegetables representing just about every major color.

What is the Watchtowers explanation of the need of clothing in the perfect paradise earth?

The only thing I can think of is that if they were to portray New World drones without clothes in the publications would have the R&F wanking non-stop...even IF they were just the oh so typical cartoon drawings.

Crazy Sounding Story

last sunday after sitting through the ca an eldurr whom i know related this story about the warwick compound construction, as related to him by someone who had just returned from their tour of duty.. "the property is over-run with rattlesnakes.

so there are assigned brothers who catch and release them off property.

they won't kill them.

Last Sunday after sitting through the CA an eldurr whom I know related this story about the Warwick compound construction, as related to him by someone who had just returned from their tour of duty.

"The property is over-run with rattlesnakes. So there are assigned brothers who catch and release them off property. They won't kill them. They are also in the process of building a 'special wall' around the entire property to 'keep snakes out'."

Now it seems to me that this story doesn't quite have the "ring of truth" to it. I personally believe that any wall being built is for some other reason than to simply keep out 'rattlesnakes'.

What are your thoughts/comments? Anyone been there that can verify that the rattlesnake story is actually true?

I wonder if you could count the number of times they mention the name Jesus on one hand?

Actually, I did try to keep track.

While I don't have an exact count, I do know for a fact that the name Jesus was mentioned fewer times than I could count on one hand. The name Jehovah, somewhat more than that, but likley less than countable on two hands. JW.Org...I lost count somewhere between first stand and sing and last stand and sing of the morning. The only phrase used more than JW.Org was "governing body".

Do more. Preach more. Indoctrinate your children more. Give more to other "brothers" and "sisters". Get those who have awakened to go back to sleep.

Sing another song.

Announcement: It cost a great amount to put this show on. Give, give, give, until it hurts. Show self-sacrifice.

Don't do anything that gives you a sense of self worth, or satisfaction. Preach more. You really should be pioneering. The end is "just around the corner".

Dunking talk.

Stand and sing again. (Golf clap as five young teen-age born-ins file out.)

Mad rush to get prime spot at the very few available tables and chairs for noon dinner.

How can you tell right from wrong? The GB will tell you. No need to try to discern on your own.

WT Summary. Think and act in lock-step with what the GB suggest order. Blind obedience is good. Thinking ability is bad.

Sing another song. Announcement: We haven't collected much but still sent a few thousand to "mother" and now we have a (perpetual) deficit. We are confident you will be self-sacrificing and give more.

Don't worry about jobs, housing, health etc. Do more and God will take care of you.

Don't buy things.

Don't try to remain youthful. Especially middle-aged "sisters". Don't dress young, Don't groom young. After all what is middle age in the course of forever? (I guess that is why the greater majority of over thirty year old female JW's look like unkempt, overweight, unhealthy, homeless bag-ladies)

Don't get involved in any way with anyone who is not a JW, whether dating, work, or even family members. (Not isolationist much is that?)

God only loves JW's. GT is "very close" and when it starts it will be too late for any who are not JW's to live.

JW's have standards now as set out by the GB to praise God. It won't be any different in the "new world". There will always be standards of conduct, dress and grooming, and where and how to live passed on to the survivors forever through appointed men.

Sing another song. Prayer thanking god for food at the right time through the GB. Another polite golf clap.

Mad rush for the parking lot to get on the road home.

Of course all this was liberally sprinkled with frequent mentions of jw.org!

What makes a "good Jehovah's Witness"??

so, i have been thinking...what is the formula or recipe for the "perfect jw"?.

here are a few points i thought of...please feel free to add!.

always dress in the jw manner...no variation in clothing / hair styles / facial hair.

Just yesterday the eldurr doing the WT made this exact comment, "We don't set rules for dress and grooming. However, to see what is considered proper dress and grooming for Christians all you have to do is look at the picture on page 22 of todays WT. THAT is how we should look!"

Yep, I'm sure as Hades going to dress like that when I'm out doing ranch chores! The worship of the governing popes continues. What an idiot!!
